NYX Beauty Queen Black Label Lipstick Review

Today I am here with a NYX lipstick called Beauty Queen. I am a sucker for pink lipsticks, hence got this one. NYX provides an array of shades when it comes to lipsticks, which is quite impressive and I love NYX products. I got it from my nearby beauty store but sadly they have now removed NYX counter from their store, but you can easily find these lipsticks online. Anyway, keep reading to know more about this shade.

Claims:
A creamy, dreamy lipstick with a velvety smooth finish and hyper-glamorous shades for every look and every inclination. NYX’s Black Label Lipstick has rich emollient properties that ensures the color glides on and hydrates your pout at the same time. From Extreme Red to Earthy to Frosted Pink.

My Experience with NYX Beauty Queen Black Label Lipstick:

Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a nice sturdy packaging with black design printed on the cap. The ingredients are printed on the cap which I think is great as I haven’t seen any lipstick with ingredients list printed on the cap itself. The lipstick has a transparent bottom which makes it easy to locate the color if the lipsticks are placed upside down. The packaging is more luxe and sturdy as compared to their Round lipsticks. The shut lock cap makes this lipstick travel friendly.

Shade:
The lipstick, Beauty Queen, is a beautiful hot fuchsia pink colour with slightly blue undertones. This colour will look flattering on almost all skintones. Thankfully this lipstick doesn’t have any kind of shimmer particles in it.

Texture:
The texture of the lipstick is creamy and very moisturizing. It glides on like a dream, though the lipstick is creamy, it does not settle into fine lines. It is not as creamy as their round lipsticks, so no need to store these in a cool place. The texture of the lipstick is creamy, hence it transfers a lot.

Pigmentation:
The lipstick is very pigmented; only 2 swipes are needed to get the desired colour as well as to cover lip pigmentation. I have pigmented lips, so I don’t like lipsticks that provide sheer to medium coverage.

Staying Power:
The staying power of these lipstick is very low; it stays on lips for hardly 3 hours without meals. I once wore it to a dinner; I just had soup and it got completely disappeared from the middle of my lips. So, I had to reapply it. The staying power is same as their Round lipsticks.

Pros of NYX Beauty Queen Black Label Lipstick:

• Luxe and sturdy packaging
• Cute hot pink colour with no shimmer
• Moisturises the lips well
• Doesn’t accentuate fine lines
• Does not bleed like other creamy lipsticks
• Travel friendly

Cons of NYX Beauty Queen Black Label Lipstick:

• Staying power could have been a lot better
• Availability might be an issue
• Pricey

Would I Repurchase NYX Beauty Queen Black Label Lipstick?
No. I find this lipstick quite pricey for the performance. There are many more brands that provide better lipsticks at this price. So, will try some other brands now. ☺

A Quick Tip to Mattify Glossy Lipsticks:
If you ever want your lipstick to be matte, apply your lipstick, just apply baby powder over your lips with an eyeshadow brush. Again, apply your lipstick and do the same baby powder procedure. There you have it – matte lipstick.
