I have been using only The Body Shop Black mono eye shadow and Faces Canada brow brush to fill in my brows, but of late, tinted brow mascaras have become a fad and rightly so, for their ease of use and performance. I bought my first ever tinted brow mascara from one of my favorite brands – NYX. Please read on for my personal experience using this brow mascara.

My Take on NYX Black Tinted Brow Mascara:
My eyebrows have naturally a nice shape and in the name of threading, I just tweeze out some stray hair and nothing more; however, I do like to fill my brows to flaunt a well-groomed look. When in a hurry, I usually skip more complex steps and stick to a simple wax pencil or a tinted mascara routine.
Packaging: This mascara comes in a slim, long tube with a twist-up cap that also holds the wand. The applicator is in the shape of a tiny spoolie and is perfect for filling up brows especially when in a hurry.
Texture: Most brow pencils have a dry and waxy texture, but tinted mascaras are just like lash mascaras, not as goopy or pigmented though. They are slightly less dense and crumbly compared to lash mascaras and blend seamlessly with natural brow hair.
Color: It’s a dark brown-black color which is perfect for my eyebrows. It gives definition to my brows yet makes them look natural. Brows look well kempt and frame my eyes well, especially when I wear glasses.
Pigmentation: Good pigmentation, that too the right amount for an eyebrow product, imparts the right amount of color and definition to the brows. However, you need to be careful and not go overboard with it or it might end up looking really weird.
Shimmer and Shine: It is a matte finish brow pencil and loosk natural.
Wear Time: Stays on for the entire day, does not transfer. It is waterproof and sweat-proof.
This is a good product and worth a try. There are 4 shades available, which I guess can cover all types of hair on brow line – it varies from blonde to black-brown. They wear very smooth and easily and impart a natural finish (even on close inspection). Brows do not look fake as with other super waxy brow products (as if one has stuck a pair of eye brows).
