My Take on NYX Born To Glow Gleam Liquid Illuminator:

I have had my eyes on MAC strobe cream for a while now, but till I come around to buy that, I thought I would make do with this cheap and yet good enough product from NYX.

Packaging:  This product comes in a tube-like packaging. The front of the tube tells the full name of the product and the back side has the list of ingredients and other such details.

Packaging

Texture: It is thick in consistency like a foundation; however, it is easier to blend and feels very light on the face and neck. It does not leave a cakey layer on face and feels very light.

Fragrance: It has no fragrance, rather on close inspection, I could smell the chemicals used in concocting it, but it does not matter because, first, I can’t smell it once applied and second, all fragrance does is to mask the smell and not eliminate the effect of chemicals, so why bother.

Efficacy:  This product can be used in quite a few ways as one can fancy – use as a strobe cream and apply before foundation or mix it with foundation and add a faint glow to the face or add at the high points of face to add a final touch to face.

Each method used to apply on face gives a slightly different look; the end result is the same, i.e. dewy look to the face, but with varying intensity of light reflection property.

Staying Power:  I have worn it for 7-8 hours and it stood intact and by that I mean my face still had the same dewy finish that I get as soon as I apply this product one face; however, the T- zone does get a bit too shiny, but nothing I cannot fix with some matte powder.

Swatch not blended

This is a good product which is not harsh on my skin, preps my skin for foundation, and adds a beautiful glow to my face.

Cons of NYX Born To Glow Gleam Liquid Illuminator:
