My Experience with NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick Chardonnay Shimmer:

This beautiful highlighter comes in a cute, color-coded packaging. The body of the stick is black and the color represents the color of the highlighter. The twist-up stick is user-friendly as well as travel-friendly. It is super easy to use and one can use it even on-the-go. I do not have any issues with the packaging. You get 6 grams product for the price, which I think is economical, considering I do not use highlighters every single day.

As per NYX, Chardonnay Shimmer is “Chardonnay Pink with Gold Shimmer.” On my skin tone, I get a stunning champagne gold look with hardly any trace of pink. The shade will suit all skin tones but show up best on fair to medium skin tones. The product can be used to create natural to heavily highlighted looks. I prefer to keep it natural. I recently wore it over Mary Lou Manizer and topped it with a setting spray and looked very intense, very sexy.

I cannot have enough of this shade. It contains shimmer – as the name suggests – but shimmer doesn’t look overpowering or cheap. The texture is very creamy and glides well on the skin without affecting base makeup, which is perfect. It does not accentuate the fine lines or pores either and gives a very natural and glowy look to the skin.

The lasting power is also pretty long – around 5-6 hours – if I apply it over a primer and base. On its own, it lasts maximum 3 hours. I also love the fact that its shimmer doesn’t transfer anywhere else on my face. This super lightweight highlighter feels super creamy on the skin and does not irritate at all. It does not make my skin drier and I think will feel comfortable on all skin types.

Overall, I love everything about this highlighter. It’s gorgeous and enhances my complexion so much. I wish I has a better picture of this highlighter on my face but could only manage this one. If you’re looking for an excellent cream highlighter, especially in a stick form, you have to try this one. I just cannot get over how stunning this one is!
