My Experience with NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick Rose Petal Pop:

Packaging:
The blush itself is a thick black twisted stick that has a color-coded pink cap, which makes it easy to identify. It’s a nice lightweight packaging and safe to carry around.

Shade and Pigmentation:
Now, this range has two blushers and I picked the shade Rose Petal Pop. As you can make out from the name this is a beautiful rosy pink shade. It’s a super fresh pink shade with some golden shimmers that provide a gorgeous glow on the cheeks.

The shade looks very natural on the skin and is perfect for all skin tones. I love this rose pink blush and it’s good for daily use to get that flush of pink on the cheeks. Also, the shade is well pigmented and requires one to two swipes to get the color. I can easily build up the pigmentation too.

Texture and Quality:
Though the brand calls it “an illuminating stick” it’s actually a blush stick that has a super soft and smooth formula that glides effortlessly on the skin, providing a beautiful velvety soft finish on the cheeks. Due to the presence of golden shimmers, it gives a golden sheen to the cheeks. I love the flawless glow it gives to the cheeks and shimmers never look overpowering.

It’s super easy to use and the formula blends easily with any tool, even with fingers. Most of the time, I prefer to use my fingers to blend the color and it evenly blends on the skin without any patchiness. The formula is non-sticky and non-greasy, which makes it good for my oily skin.

Also, the texture feels super light and comfortable on the skin. It neither makes my skin oily nor dry but provides the decent amount of softness to it. The color never clings to dry patches and suits my sensitive skin well.

Staying Power:
Apart from the quality, it lasts quite well on my oily skin and stays around 4-5 hours, but after that, the color starts to look faded. Since it’s a cream blush it does transfer a bit and the color becomes light as the time passes. I wish this blush had better staying-power because otherwise it’s a beautiful, natural-looking blush with a super smooth formula. Currently, I am obsessed with this product and absolutely love it during these summer days.
