I’m here with a review of a really popular lip gloss. Yes, the NYX Butter Gloss! I’m going to be reviewing the shade ‘Cherry Pie’ today.

My Experience with NYX Butter Gloss Cherry Pie:

‘Cherry Pie’ is a sheer true red shade. When I applied it, I literally said to my sister, “Hey, this is a cherry kinda shade, isn’t it?” And then, I looked down at the name and it was called ‘Cherry Pie’. The name really does describe the shade perfectly. I wanted a lip gloss that wasn’t too sheer and this colour was perfect. It gives a healthy glossy look and cherry red tint to the lips.

The packaging is really cute too. It’s a really small tube which, in my experience, gets over super fast if you use it regularly. The outside is the same shade as the product inside and it’s super easy to carry this around in your purse or even fit it in your pocket for touch-ups.

The lipgloss stays on for maybe three hours at best. That is only if you don’t have a heavy meal. With a heavy meal, it pretty much comes off completely. I don’t expect much from a lip gloss, anyway. It transfers to everything, including my hair when it flies in my face. But the pigmentation is pretty great for a lip gloss, so I wear it anyway.

The texture is literally smooth like butter. It glides on my lips effortlessly and keeps them super moisturized. If I reapply this two or three times it leaves a slight tint on my lips. It’s slightly sticky but not so much that it bothers me. I wear this when I don’t feel like wearing makeup and it gives me a really healthy nude look.
