My experience with NYX Collection Noir Powder Liner:
It comes in a general liner pot in jet black with the brand name and range printed on it. The details are printed on the box which it is packed in. It’s been a while I picked up this product so I have thrown the box away. Basically it’s a liner but it has powder in it instead of liquid liner. The applicator is a soft spongy one not a brush on type. It picks sufficient amount of powder for application but can’t be controlled like a liquid liner.
Pigmentation – As far as the pigmentation goes in this range you can reach a light black shade of application after 2-3 swipes. I think that’s because of its powdered form. To get some semblance of the color you need to sweep the brush 3-4 times on your lash line. As it is powdered, I would not suggest this for sensitive eyes as it would fly a lot.
Application – Though the brush is easy to use and the powder is also very fine, the application is bit tough as I think the finish is uneven. Even while application, there’s a big issue of fallout. Yes, in a while you’ll see a lot of black fall out on your cheeks,
Staying power – This is the biggest issue with this liner, since it is powdered, it stays on me for 2-3 hours only unlike many other eye liners we try.
To sum it all, this is a messy powdery eye liner which ends up in my eyes and cheeks, this can be really bad for sensitive eyes. The application might be smooth but the finish and lasting power is not good.
Pros of NYX Collection Noir Powder Liner
• Good packaging
• Nice applicator
• Can achieve a smokey effect with this powder
Cons of NYX Collection Noir Powder Liner:
• Very messy because of powdered form
• Uneven finish, need to sweep 3-4times to get the final black finish you want
• Fallout is a mess
• Staying power is not good at all
• Might sting sensitive eyes
IMBB Rating: 2/5
Will I repurchase NYX Collection Noir Powder Liner?
I purchased this product thinking to experiment apart from liquid liners but I use this liner only when I go out with makeup for a very short while. This did not give me the swipe and go experience I was hoping for. I prefer pencils which are so much easier to use, I do not recommend this to anyone.
