NYX Color Lip Balms – Grazie and Thank You Review
By Neelam M.
I am back with my second review on IMBB. After reading this blog, I got introduced to so many other brands and one of my favorites is NYX. I just love this brand. Anyway, moving on with my NYX Lip Balm review. Most of the time, I need a hint of color on my lips, but I don’t want to use lipsticks. I need a slight shimmer on my lips, but I do not want to use lip glosses as they are heavy on the lips and that’s where lip balms play an important role in my life. I have always loved lip balms and in my opinion they will always be on top of all the lip products. I mean I love my lipsticks and lip glosses, but they cannot moisturize the lips , make them soft and supple as lip balms. I can never step out of my house without my lip balm and since its winter I am stocking myself with different types and shades of lip balms. Enough of my bragging about lip balms and my obsession with them, let’s proceed with the review.
I have been using Maybelline and Lotus lip balms for ages. So, I decided to buy a couple of more Maybelline Baby Lips in different shades and while browsing through one online portal, I came across these lip balms. They looked so amazing and lovely that I instantly decided to buy them.

The tube packaging is in black color (my favorite color) with a colored band on it which shows the color of the shade. It’s a twist-up tube so you can control the quantity of the product, hence no wastage of product. The tube lid shuts tightly which makes this product quite durable and travel friendly. Just below the colored band, the shade name along with the ingredient list is mentioned.

My Experience with NYX Color Lip Balms – Grazie and Thank You:
As I have mentioned earlier that I am completely obsessed with lip balms and like to keep lots of them especially in winters for every day use. So, I was very excited when I came across these lip balms. I really had a hard time choosing which shade I want as all of them look beautiful. They have nice color range varying from reds to pinks to browns to coral, something for everyone.
So, finally I decided to go for Grazie which is like watermelon pink color and Thank You shade which is a hot pink color. I love both the shades. Grazie is more wearable shade during the day and gives a nice rosy pink tint to the lips whereas Thank You is a hot pink shade and I am more comfortable wearing it for my night outs. Also, Grazie is more hydrating and moisturizing than Thank You. I normally wear Thank You with a clear lip gloss and it looks beautiful on my lips (I actually got compliments about the color).
Staying power is average, around 2 hours, after that I have to reapply it to keep my lips moisturized during winters, but I do not have any issues with that. These lip balms apply smoothly and evenly on my lips. They do not settle in the fine lines on my lips and make my lips look fuller. It has a mild fruity fragrance which does not bother me and it does not linger once I apply the balm.
Pros of NYX Color Lip Balms – Grazie and Thank You:
- Attractive and travel-friendly packaging.
- Makes lips hydrating, soft and supple.
- Good shade selection.
- Gives beautiful and subtle shiny tint to the lips.
- Non waxy and non sticky.
Cons of NYX Color Lip Balms – Grazie and Thank You:
- If someone is sensitive to fruity fragrance, (I like the fragrance and it goes off after application).
- Average staying power (Again, I don’t mind reapplying as it is same for me with other brands).
- Tends to melt in hot weather, so please keep it in cool area.
Overall, I love these lip balms. If you are not a lipstick person, please go ahead and try them, they are amazing and keeps your lipsmoisturized and soft. They have a nice shade range to choose from and they really show up on my lips as compared to other brand lip balms. Also, to get a hot pink color in a lip balm is simply awesome.
Note: For some reason, the camera did not capture the true pink color of Thank You shade, so sorry for that. Hope you guys enjoyed the review.
