NYX Concealer in a Jar
I have had awful luck with concealers, I am never able to find the perfect shade. Also depending on the weather and the sun, everyone’s skin color changes few months, so any one concealer does not guarantee concealment all year around. So taking inspiration from Mickey contractor’s duo concealer I got the NYX concealer in a jar in orange and yellow (Rs 475 each). It’s not the exact dupe, much light in color but in my opinion, works just fine. Also it’s not limited edition and the quantity in the jar is much more it seems. I read online it’s also a great dupe for the MAC Studio finish concealer.

Ingredients
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Mineral Oil, BHT, Microcrystalline Wax, Nylon-66, Octyldodecyl Myristate, Silica, Butylparaden, Fragrance, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Ceresin, Dipentaerythrityl Hexahydroxystearate/ Hexarosinate, Polyethylene, Sorbitan Sequioleate, Tocopheryl Acetate. MAY CONTAIN: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Chromium Oxide Greens, Ultramarines.
The concealer comes in an array of colors, ranging from light flesh toned colors to dark colors, and lavender, yellow, orange and green for particular problem areas as correctors.
The consistency is not as creamy as the Mac duo one, but its decent creamy and will provide medium to full coverage. I was never much of a concealer person as I previously did not have too dark circles, but this just completely changed my mind. You start by applying orange with a concealer brush (or even a small flat eyeshadow brush might do the trick). The orange by itself might work for many of you, as it camouflages the green under our Indian skin tone. After that if you need it, you can pat the yellow concealers lightly and blend it to match your skin tone. I think after just 2-3 tries, anyone can figure out the right amount of each concealer to use. Otherwise another method would be to take an empty container and mix the two colors to achieve your perfect shade and keep it for daily use.

To sum it up-
Pros of NYX Concealer in a Jar
-Easy to achieve your perfect shade.
-Good quantity, will probably last a year.
-Good price.
-The formula is creamy but not very runny nor very hard.
-Can be used all year around, even if your skin tone changes.
Cons of NYX Concealer in a Jar
-Needs a good brush.
-Need moisturizer before applying under the circles for perfect coverage.
-Does not have a wand( which is good for me since I actually find the wand unhygienic at times, since it can’t be washed after use).
Conclusion
I liked the concealers and it lives up to its good report. I can finally stop looking for the perfect concealer color. It can also be used to darken areas if you have light pigmentation on your skin. It all depends on the ratio of each color you use. I find it more hygienic than the wand since the wand tends to pick up color when you try to layer it on another color. For those who don’t own the duo concealer and want to experiment they can give this a try.

I am liking this concept. You can work as per the change in your skin color. I hope some other brands also come up with this kinda product. I have Oriflame concealer brush Rati!! er….it is a bit thick, and kind of flat..it resembles a lot like a foundation brush, just that it is smaller in size.. And it is not very stiff but works quite well in applying and blending the concealer…and I like its handle too.. Since, my dark circles are reduced somehow now, I have started using the garnier roll on concealer under my eyes..I simply dab the roll on over the dark circles and use the concealer brush to mix and blend them..it works pretty well!! 😀 😀 😀 😀
er…. its this one…Its not written to be a concealer brush..its Beauty Highlighter brush..donno what is that used for..But I use it as concealer brush and it works quite welll!!! 😀 😀

Since two days I have been doing full makeup and I have been sneezing exactly after my makeup is done.. It’s so irritating :pissedoff: And then I sneeze in squeeky funny way do that I don’t mess up my eye makeup. :silly: :silly:
