NYX Copenhagen Soft Matte Lip Cream Review

Today’s review is going to be on one of the products which I found while browsing Pinterest, and it’s the most amazing find till date, as I was looking for this particular shade for such a long time. This particular brand of lip cream has been in the market for quite a long time now, so can easily find it everywhere.

Neither Lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing.
Delightfully creamy and is highly pigmented, matte lip cream.

It’s a deep plum & berry color which comes in a plastic tube with an applicator which is black matte cap of the lip cream. I am not sure whether it’s a see through tube because I haven’t used it that many times. The name of the shade ‘Copenhagen’ is written at the bottom of the tube. All the list of ingredients used is also imprinted on the tube itself.

My experience with NYX Copenhagen Soft Matte Lip Cream :

If I haven’t read about this lip cream before I would have never thought to buy this product by just looking the color of the tube. In the pictures itself you can see how dark & deep the color looks, totally ‘Vampy’. So it’s rightly said “Never judge a book by its cover”. Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream comes in various different shades of nude, pink, red, coral, berry. I really like the names (names of places) they have given to each shade like Amsterdam, London, Ibiza, Milan etc.

The lip-gloss applicator is soft & it glides smoothly onto the lips with ease. The matte effect of this particular lip color is not at all super and/or instant-drying. You can build up the color by applying more coats of it. In the last picture, you can see me with a single coat of it and this will give you an idea that with more coats of it, will give a deep and a dark look which looks totally apt for night-time outings. It doesn’t feel heavy on the lips and it also doesn’t crack up. There is no funky-funny fragrance of the lip color so I like it for that also.

And the best part is its staying power, it just doesn’t go away. I had lunch, tea, snacks, again tea and dinner; this amazing color was still there and by night when I removed it from my lips I could see a sheer tint of beautiful pink-purple on my lips and it looked more natural & a prettier version of my lips.

It is said about lip colors, which is also a fact, that a particular shade of lip color will look different on various skin tones but I am pretty sure it will look equally amazing on everyone. This particular shade compliments my skin tone very much, my teeth look whiter so it gives that brightening effect and it gives a plump and a fuller look to my lips. I wore it in a daytime and it was not looking over the top at all.
