My Experience with NYX Coral-Sicle Whipped Lip and Cheek Souffle:

Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The soufflé comes in a small and sturdy plastic bottle. It has a huge screw on type black colored cap with a small applicator. The applicator is small but still good to work with. The small bottle has every necessary product detail mentioned on it. The color-coded body helps to spot the shade easily. Also, there is a sticker at the base of the tube, which has the shade name written on it. The packaging of the product is cute, sturdy and travel friendly.

The shade “Coral Sicle” is a subtle peachy coral shade. This shade is flattering for fair skin tones. It might wash out medium skin tones, but it suits my medium fair skin tone well. Overall, this is not very flattering shade for most of the Indian skin tones. It is absolutely free from any sheen or shimmer. The pigmentation of the soufflé is good, but I would not say that it is insanely pigmented. It requires multiple swipes to build up the color properly. It needs a little effort and proper layering to hide pigmented lips well. I do not know why but this soufflé gives a streaky finish with one or two swipes, but it can be easily resolved by layering. It has average pigmentation, so it is easy to apply on the cheeks without having a fear of getting clown cheeks. I need to apply a good amount on my cheeks to make the color pop, but it does not mean that the pigmentation is poor. One can enhance the color intensity according to their choice.

I do not use it as a blush often as it is not very flattering on my skin tone. It will look great on paler skin tones. It gives a sheer translucent finish, which is very much wearable. It has a funny candy-like fragrance, which might be bothering for some, but I am okay with its fragrance.

The texture of the soufflé is extremely lightweight and smooth. It glides like a dream and feels like almost like a whipped cream. I love the feel of this soufflé. It feels so light and comfortable on the lips. I have already mentioned that the color gives a streaky finish, so multiple swipes are required to build up the color and even out the finish. The soufflé clings to dry patches of the lips leading to patchy finish. It does not forgive even a bit of dryness. So, it is mandatory to exfoliate and hydrate the lips well. The color sets to a soft and velvety matte finish after some time.

When I use it as a blush, it sinks in to the skin very easily. I can even use my fingers to blend this soufflé on my cheeks easily. It hardly takes a few seconds to blend it perfectly, so I do not have to indulge in heavy blending sessions. I simply dab a little product on my cheeks and I am ready to go. So, it is a great product for on the go people.

The staying power of this soufflé is average. It stays for 4 hours or so my lips without any meals, but gets vanished quickly after a meal and gets patchy through the wear time. Once the color gets ripped off, I noticed that it settled into the fine lines of the lips and I had to rush for reapplication after a meal because I hate those patchy lips. The extremely creamy formula of this soufflé made it transfer crazily. While using it as a blush, it stays for some 5 hours or so without any significant fading. Using a primer underneath can enhance its staying power. Overall, I like the product, so I will forgive its cons.
