SuddentlyI have this urge to collect lipgloss, mostly I am into creamy glosses,like the Rimmel apocalips and very few nude sheer ones, but somehow I like NYX for the pretty shades, the packaging, the glosses from this range looked tempting,I initially got the beige sparkle one I liked it so much I got two more in Paprika sparkle and fuchsia sparkle.This one is a pretty orange sparkle one, great for on its own and on top of lipsticks.

 

The packaging the tube is nice, simple functional, the wand is a little tilted and wider I like it a lot it picks up good amount of gloss unlike the Rimmel vinyl glosses. The wand is slimmer and wider instead of those small fat ones,somehow I like flatter tilted wands more for even and faster application.

The range is called sparkle as they have this finely milled shimmer to it, making it twinkle and look shiny, the shine effect is more with shimmer and mixed with a wet lip look, the shimmer is very powdery, it makes the gloss slightly metallic, the shimmer does remain back after meals, but can be wiped off with little effort.

The color looks more intense in the tube, like in the swatch too, it looks like it will be coating the lips in one go, it is not true, when you apply it, it look patchy and uneven, you will get as much as half the color of the tube,half the orange on the lips, so you can build it up no doubt but the shimmer wont let you.It makes it nice to top lipsticks as well.

 

 

It does not go opaque so pigmented lips will not like it, flaky lips will find the shimmer ending up in lip lines, and the color is little dirty orange, so the neutral and warm skin tones can try it.

My problem is not with shimmer as much as it is with patchiness and with untidy feeling, so it is best used on lip liner or lipstick base.It lasts a couple of hours but meals make it look very untidy.Still overall I like the gloss, the metallic finish is not OTT.
