I’m back to reviewing some eyeshadows. I bought some NYX eyeshadows to try out. Today, I am reviewing NYX ES88 Algae Eyeshadow. Check out more details about this eyeshadow further on in the review 🙂
NYX’s Single Eyeshadow is richly pigmented eye shadow in over 160 shades. Soft and silky NYX Single Eye shadows are great on their on their own or blended for a beautiful prism of colors. This top-selling eye shadow is formulated with the highest minerals for long-lasting wear.
My Experience with NYX ES88 Algae Eyeshadow:
Packaging: NYX single eyeshadows come in a cute little rectangular packaging. The front is transparent to help you see the shade clearly. It opens and shuts with an audible click. Once it gets locked, it would not open up in your purse or handbag. I like the simple packaging.
Color/Pigmentation: “Algae” is a pretty sea green color. It is a shimmery shade with golden hints. It’s a nice shade and can be built up very easily. The pigmentation is good enough.
Texture: This eyeshadow is very soft and smooth. It’s extremely finely milled and you can feel that as you swipe the eyeshadow. I love the texture! There is a bit of fall out from this one. The shadow blends in very easily though.
Staying Power: It stays on my lids for 4-5 hours without a primer. A primer could extend the staying power by another 2-3 hours.
Summing up the pros and cons:
Pros of NYX ES88 Algae Eyeshadow:
- Shimmery green shadow which reflects gold too.
- Extremely smooth texture.
- Blends very easily.
- Nice packaging.
- Decent staying power.
- Nicely pigmented.
Cons of NYX ES88 Algae Eyeshadow:
- Low staying power.
- Has a bit of fallout.
