NYX Glitter Cream Pallet EDEN Review

NYX Glitter Cream Pallet: EDEN (GCP02) Review

Hello beautiful ladies,

Today I will be introducing you guys with a beautiful and shimmery eye glitter pallet from NYX. The pallet is called Glitter Cream Pallet. This pallet is available in many different shades ranging from very bright shades to decent shades, but of course all of them are shimmery (as they are glitters). The pallet I selected is called EDEN (GCP 02). It is the brightest of all the pallets. The pallet contains 5 shimmers and as the name suggests they all are creamy. You don’t need to apply any kind of glue for these eye shadows; they stick automatically on your lids. My eyes were on the bigger pallet which contains around 32 shades, but as it was too costly and unavailable at that time I ordered this.

Packaging: the pallet comes in a black packaging with a transparent lid. The lid is completely transparent and the colors are easily visible from the top. Product Description:
NYX Glitter Cream Palette is a Multi-purpose gel-based glitter combination in a pallet. NYX Glitter Cream Palette comes with 5 shades of glitter, 2 applicators with 3 sponge tips and 1 brush tip. Apply to eyes, lips and face – anywhere you want that sparkling effect!

My take on the product:
The pallet contains 5 colors, pink, yellow, orange, a shade of red and dark blue. Pink and blue have silver shimmers whereas the other three have golden shimmers. The shimmers look beautiful in the pallet. They do look good on the lids too but not as much as they look in the pallet.

Starting with the first color, pink, the color have blue undertone, and it actually seems a shade of blue rather than pink on the lids. I tried to apply it with a pink eye shade underneath, assuming that it will look pink but it actually made my eye shadow look blue. The other four colors are fine and the best of all the 5 colors is dark blue. It’s so easily visible and has good pigmentation. Pink needs to be applied many times to make it visible and still it looks blue. 🙂

Now coming to the staying power of the glitters, as expected it’s not much, but yes they do stay for some 2-3 hours which is fine for a party or dinner. After 1-2 hours they do start falling a little and make you look shimmery☺. The company claims that they can be used on lips and face too. Honestly saying, I haven’t tried them on my lips but I once applied the blue one on my neck and it looked beautiful.

I brought this pallet to get these colorful shimmers on my lids, but when I applied them, they all looked very similar on the lids. I am not really happy with my purchase and may not buy it again, but I don’t regret buying this pallet as it looks so beautiful and I am sure that one day I will find a way of applying these.

  •  Beautiful colors
  •  Nice pallet for using in a function
  •  Steady and cute packaging
  •  The shimmers contain a plastic sheet on them which protects them.
  •  No need to use a glue or cream shadow under them, they can stick on their own
  •  Have 3 sponge and 1 brush applicator (although I have never used them)

• Pricy
• Due to glitters, they have fall out problem
• Pink looks blue on the lids
• Staying power not very good (but, not much should be expected from glitters)
• Contains paraben

Would I buy this product again?
I don’t think I will be buying this product again. Not any other color and of course not this color. I would rather try there single eye glitters which are better than these.

Do I recommend this?
No, I will not recommend this as it is too costly and the colors do not show up on the eyes as they look in the pallet.

Rating: 3.5/5 (I am not exactly happy with the product but I love the colors)

  1. Swati you know once upon a time I was so mad to get these glitter palettes.. I was novice then.. I read lot of reviews and decided to skip them… But I will buy atleast one of them sometime… 😛

    Pink looks blue..hehehe 😛 😛

    1. i was mad too and finally i got this……even i read not so good reviews about them but the colors attracted me so much that i wasn’t able to stop myself. 🙂

  2. i don’t think that it can be used as a liner as it won’t give the precision required for an eye liner due to fallout problem 🙁
