My Experience with NYX HD Studio Photogenic Concealer Yellow:

Let’s start with the packaging of the product. The concealer comes in a long, cylindrical, transparent plastic tube. The tube closes with a black-colored screw on type cap. There is a regular doe-foot applicator attached with the cap. The applicator wand is long enough and facilitates easy application of the concealer. The applicator picks up the right amount of the product. The tube bears the necessary product-related information printed on it in black fonts. The shade name is also printed at the side of the tube. The tube is sleek and does not take much space in my makeup pouch. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly.

The concealer comes in a variety of shades. Three of these are correcting concealers – green, yellow and lavender. I have got the shade “Yellow” for me because I have dark circles and a yellow concealers nicely brightens up the under-eye area and helps to conceal dark circles nicely. The shade is a light pastel yellow shade that mixes with the skin color properly and does not leave any whitish cast behind. Two-three dots of this concealer are good enough to cover the dark under eye area properly. My under-eye area looks bright and healthy.

The texture of the concealer is so creamy and smooth. It glides like a dream and it is super blend-able. It blends very easily and does not look heavy at all. It does not crease once set but it is necessary to set it with a loose powder. It settles down to a semi-matte kind of finish. The formula is lightweight and feels comfortable on the skin. It mixes with the skin amazingly well and just vanishes into it. I use a Beauty Blender, sometimes my fingers, and even a concealer brush to blend this out properly. Though it works well in all the above-mentioned ways, but the best one is by using a brush because Beauty Blender gives a sheer effect while brush gives full coverage.

This concealer gives medium to full coverage. It conceals dark circles upto a good extent. It sorts out even the darkest of the dark circles nicely with my concealer. Though it normally gives medium coverage but it can be easily layered on to get full coverage.

This problem has sorted my dark circles issue forever. This is one of the best correctors out there at a very affordable price. The concealer is long lasting. The formulation is non greasy, but it has a little tendency to cling to the dryer patches of the skin. So, the key to flawless concealer application is properly prepped skin. You make sure your skin well exfoliated, moisturized and nourished. It roughly stays for around 6-7 hours on my skin without creasing.
