How would you use NYX Honey Comb Eyeshadow Trio? Ask

Dee Says:Β

Inspired by IMBB I have just purchased my first ever eye shadow.

The palette is – NYX TS 02A Honey Comb.

I have never used eyeshadow before and even after reading the tutorials – could really get the idea how to do it?

I am attaching a photo of the palette.

I have large eyes with most of the upper eyelid visible…

  1. Hi Dee,

You may take references from these :

It is a gorgeous platte. For very basic, i would say that you apply brown eyeshadow all over the lid, apply gold just on the center of the lid and apply champagne on the very inner corner of eye. Apply kohl on water line. apply liquid or gel liner on upper lash line. curl lashes and apply mascara.

    Hope that helps. πŸ™‚

  2. woo hoo… Dee first off congratulations on your first eye shadow palette πŸ™‚ secondly let me congratulate you on your choice of a trio… Trios are my favs and are sooo easy to work with….
Thumb Rule: The lightest shade goes on your brow bone, the medium shade on your lid and the darkest shade on your crease and for that “fantabulous” pro effect you need to blend the edges really well where each shade meets the other πŸ™‚ This gives an effect of big, beautiful and experessive eyes πŸ™‚

Alternately: this is my fav way… lightest shade on the brow bone, darkest shade on the lid and the medium shade in between the darkest and the lightest shade… This gives eyes depth and looks really pretty on someone who has a lot of space between their lashline and eyebrows πŸ™‚

    Hope this helps!

  3. CONGRATS DEE!!! :jiggy1: :pompom: :jiggy1: I totally agree with suma….initially u can follow the rules…n wen u are a pro at it….u can play around wid colors….may you have many many more eyeshadows…. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

  4. hi Rati. please help me out .. i want to upload so many reviews here. but dont know.. how to do it. πŸ™ please tell me…. i have also send u a mail regarding this.

  5. hi dee …. dats a lovely palette …. its pretty easy how to work wit it … m no pro at dis so i ll simply advise u to use d darkest brown all over yr lids then apply gold on d center of yr lid to catch d light ! if u like to highlight yr eyes then apply d lightest shade below yr arch of the eyebrows and on d inner corners of d eye . . . .

  6. This looks like a lovely trio! My suggestion would be- the gold/bronze all over lid and inner corner, darkest shade in crease and smudged on lower lash line and lightest shade on brow bone!

  7. Congrats Dee…soo exciting isn’t it?
My first NYX order is on its way! :yahoo:

  9. agreeing with what everyone said.. use this as a base for some serious hollywood style golden eye. apply the medium shade all over, and use a moist brush to line your eyelids with the darkest shade. let it set and apply gold highlighter all over your lid. you can use the lightest shade on your brow bone.
