NYX Infinite Shadow Stick Blackout Review

Greetings fellow IMBBians,
Here is a review of a product I bought on an impulse after reading random reviews online. It was the talk of the town for a while and was raved about in several videos, so I thought I would give it a try. Also I had an online gift card, which was the ultimate impetus I needed to try out a new product.

My Experience with NYX Infinite Shadow Stick Blackout:

One of the videos that I saw online was all about best drug store products and it was fascinating to see how several products are available at consumers’ disposal at such affordable prices. NYX was a brand which was mentioned in several such budget beauty videos because they do make products, which are a total steal and are worth every dime one spends.

One such product is Infinite Shadow Stick, which is available in 9 shades. These are a classier version of Jumbo eye sticks, but limited color range. As far as I could conclude from online reviews, the lighter shades are a no go; however, the darker shades live up to the claim.

Blackout shade is not very pigmented or super creamy, but it does not smudge what so ever when applied on water line. It does not glide smooth like a dream, but it is very opaque and once set does not budge. It is not blackest of black, but I usually wear it on top of a super dark, creamy kajal and this product prevents it from smudging. It stays smudge proof for at least 12 hours.

Apart from being used as a liner it can obviously be used as eye shadow base or just solo and it keeps eye shadow intact for an entire day straight (no surprises there!!) To do a smokey eye makeup look, one has to work fast to blend out the edges, since once set it does not blend.

All in all it was a good buy and I don’t regret my impulsive decision.

Cons of NYX Infinite Shadow Stick Blackout:

  • Has to be sharpened, which leads to product wastage.
  • Tugs a little, since it is not very creamy.
