My Experience with NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint Whimsy:

Packaging:
NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint comes in a nice long and clear tube with a black cap. The clear packaging makes it easy to identify. It also has a long applicator wand that works perfectly to apply the color to the eyes. It is a very simple packaging and I can easily carry it arounf.

Shade:
Whimsy is one of the most gorgeous pink shadows I own. It’s actually a beautiful princess pink shade with finely milled silver shimmer. The shimmer provides a natural tint to the eyes and it just looks so pretty. This shade is apt for all skin tones and it goes well with every makeup. Also, the shade is well pigmented and requires one to two strokes. A single stroke also provides good color payoff that is perfect for daytime makeup looks.

Texture and Quality:
This is a cream shadow and it has a soft and smooth texture. It glides easily and evenly on the lids without any tugging. It doesn’t create any problem during application and is super easy to blend. I always prefer to blend the shade with my fingers but I can use a brush as well. It blends well with powder shadows too. It doesn’t feel patchy or heavy and that’s why I can easily layer it up. The formula doesn’t feel sticky at all.

It sets to a beautiful pearly shiny texture which looks so pretty. It doesn’t smudge or transfer automatically and it also doesn’t melt away with water but it’s not 100% smudge proof. If I rub my eyes then the product does come off. I somehow love the formula as it gives a beautiful, soft and natural tint to the eyes. It is a perfect product to add a glow to your makeup. The shimmer in this eyeshadow does not look overpowering. It contains the perfect balance of shine and it never irritates my eyes.

Staying Power:
The shadow lasts long – around 7 hours. It looks perfect even after a hot day out. It never settles into the fine lines or crease, but if you apply it over a powder shadow, it slightly settles on the crease by the end of the day. To avoid this you have to use a primer. Otherwise, it performs well and is very easy to remove.

Overall:
I love this pink shade. This product is my new obsession.
