Here I am with my review on NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick “Cherry Skies”.
“A year older, a year better and a year prettier,” this is my punch line on my birthdays. Celebrated my birthday on 7th Dec and since then I’ve been in birthday mode! I’m a watch fanatic and this year also my hubby darling gave me a Kenneth Cole watch as my birthday gift. By the way, did you girls watch Miss Universe contest? What a confusion created by Steve Harvey! Poor ladies, standing there confused who the actual Miss universe was! I would have run away with the crown. Coming back to the point, I can’t get over NYX stuff. They are affordable and value for money. As you all know, I purchased 3 shades from the newly launched Liquid Suede collection. I’ve already reviewed Kitten Heels.

My Views on NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Cherry Skies:

Packaging: The packaging is pretty strong and it comes with a long doe-foot applicator. I think the applicator is a little big and doesn’t have a point to create a clean line. It becomes a bit difficult to apply the lipstick properly on your lips without staining your skin.

To be honest, I’m always scared to try out matte lipsticks as I’ve dry lips but ever since I got to know about the launch of this product, I was waiting to get my hands on it. I fell in love instantly with this color! It is one of those perfect deep red color lip shades. I first applied it on Halloween day; I was the flapper girl from the 20s and the shade was a perfect fit for the 20s’ makeup.

The color of this lipstick is deep red with a matte look. Apply an even layer all over the lips. You can use a lip gloss if it feels too dry on your lips. When I applied only one layer, Cherry Skies was almost pink-red. It has a lot of translucency as one thin layer. With two layers, it is a beautiful deep red, but more difficult to get even.
The formula is drying, and for someone like me who loves to have hydrated lips, it is a pain but the color is so really worth it. BUT mind you the color is good for initial 20 minutes or so; after that it becomes flaky and super dried out!!!!

Though they are matte, because of the ingredients (glycerin, olive oil, and avocado oil), they keep your lips slightly moisturized. They are surely long lasting; even after food and drinks, my lip color was intact but it became flaky!

Pros of NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Cherry Skies:

• Absolutely loved the color!
• Good staying power.
• Affordable price so you can try out all the shades.

Cons of NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Cherry Skies:

• Very poor texture.
• Very difficult to remove.
• Difficult to apply because of its long applicator.
• Might stain your teeth. I’ve never faced this problem with any other lipstick.

Would I Repurchase NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Cherry Skies?
No. I really liked the color and its staying power but it’s superdrying for me!
