I’m so excited to write articles for IMBB. It’s like a sweet little dream come true. 🙂 Ohh I’m so loving it..

The story begins. ‘How I met black pearl’. I was very fascinated by the ‘smoky eye’ make up after reading some of the posts on IMBB. I was in need to buy a black eye shadow. Black in the sense a proper deep black. 😀 I couldn’t find it in some of the shops. So I decided to buy one online. 🙂 As I set the filters for black eye shadow, I came across this beauty. 🙂

Claims:

Ingredients:

Mica, Phenoxyethanol. MAY CONTAIN / PEUT CONTENIR (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, 77492, 77499), Ultramarines (CI 77007), Carmine (CI 75470), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Chromium Oxide Green (CI 77288), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140)

Price:

300 INR for 5ml.

I saw the price, it was 300 INR. Without even looking at the quantity, I clicked ‘add to cart’. I was very happy and was eagerly waiting for the products to reach me as always. 🙂 When I got the box / parcel, I was pretty excited to open it. When I opened, I just saw the invoice letter in it. 😮 I can still feel that feeling I had when I had opened it. *shocked* I was shattered as I thought there was some problem with the parcel. :p But I peeped into the box just to be sure. Hehe this tiny cute eye shadow was inside the box. It was so tiny..!!

 

Lesson learnt: Please look at the quantity before buying / imagining it. 🙂

My Take on NYX Loose Powder Black Pearl Eyeshadow

Finally I got a black eye shadow. As I’m constantly mentioning it, it’s a small plastic bottle. It is sturdy and yes travel-friendly. But I wish this came in a small tub with a wide mouth so that it becomes easier to take it directly on the brush. I struggle a bit to use it due to this bottle packing. 🙁 It’s the deep black. A proper black. 🙂 Texture is powdery and really awesome. It blends really well. I must say that the staying power is very good. (6+ hours).

It is water resistant. It won’t run down if you just splash the water on your eyes but if you rub a little, the color will fade away.My eyelids are not very oily. Also, most eye shadows generally do not crease on me 🙂 So, I am not sure if it would suit those who have very oily lids. A very little amount of the product is required, so a little goes a long way.

It makes eyes look really nice. Smokey look which it gives is gorgeous. I’m veryyy happy with this black eye shadow.. 🙂 It proved me that it’s worth the price. 🙂

So yes guys it’s a happy ending.. 😀

5. Water resistant.
6. Travel-friendly. It can fit in the purse too.. 😀
7. Little amount of the product is required.
8. Worth the price.

Cons of NYX Loose Powder Black Pearl Eyeshadow:

1. Bottle packing. It’s difficult to take it on the brush without spilling it.
2. Not waterproof.
