NYX Matte Lip Cream in Morocco Review

NYX Matte Lip Cream in Morocco

Hello Beauties,

I love oranges, it is one fruit I can eat anytime. But I don’t like the packed orange juices, they just don’t go down well for me. Same is my relation with orange shade too. I love the color orange but it does not look so good against my warm skin tone. Still I do fall for the beauty of this shade and end up buying things in orange shade. And this one is my recent orange lip product. Read on to find out.

NYX Matt Lip Cream in Morocco

Price: $6 for 8ml

What Product Claims: Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this Mattee lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a Mattee finish. Soft Mattee Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some Mattee lipstick formulas, also moisturizing.

My Experience with NYX Matte Lip Cream in Morocco:

Let me explain what lip cream is to people who don’t know much about it. It is liquid lipstick which feels like cream or liquid when applied but dries Matte. The NYX lip cream feels like a mid-consistency cream which is easy to spread on lips but within few minutes it dries down to a powdery Matte finish. Which does not feel dry instantly but if you naturally have dry lips then after a while you might feel uncomfortable. So using lip balm and a moisturizing lip pencil will be really helpful.

Coming to the shade morocco, this is one of the new shades added in the Matte lip cream range. Morocco is a bright orange shade with coral hint to it. In artificial light it looks more orange on my lips and in natural light it looks more coral. And strangely it makes my warm skin tone look more yellow in artificial light but I do not face any such problem in natural light. Also you must be aware that orange lipsticks have the tendency to make our teeth appear yellow, and that holds good with this lip cream too. So brush your teeth and use some whitener before wearing this lippi.

It has a strong sweet bubblegum kind of smell which is not overwhelming or bothersome. The smell disappears after sometime. Talking about staying power, as it’s a Matte formula, it stays on lips for very long and is transfer proof too. However when eating heavy meal or some oily things it can turn patchy, you will lose color at center of your mouth but outline will remain there. In totality I love the color and formula, but on dry lips it feels a bit uncomfortable. So if you have very dry lips then skip this.

Pros of NYX Matte Lip Cream in Morocco:

• Vibrant orange shade with a hint of coral.
• The cream spreads evenly and easily on skin.
• Matte finish, but if a clear gloss added on top it can turn to a glossy finish without bleeding.
• Easy to use, travel friendly packaging.
• Lasts long and transfer proof.

Will I be repurchasing NYX Matte Lip Cream in Morocco? I have bought some different shades from this range. One orange lippi is enough for now.
