NYX Matte Lipstick Crazed Review

Continuing with my obsession with lipsticks, today’s review will be about a matte lipstick shade from NYX Cosmetics. I was looking for a warm reddish brown shade for long and was happy to discover this color. Read the detailed review to know my views about the shade.

My Experience with NYX Matte Lipstick Crazed:

Packaging:
NYX Matte Lipsticks come in a black tube that has a nice velvety texture and there is a clear ring over the tube. Due to the transparent cap, you can easily notice the color even when it is stored in your lipstick stand. It is a nice lightweight packaging and travel-friendly too, but according to its price, it feels a little cheap. I expected it to have a metallic finish and an outer carton.

Shade:
Crazed is a beautiful brownish red or brick red color with warm undertones. I bought a similar shade last year which was L.A Girl’s Lipstick in shade Spice. But that was far cooler toned than this. This lipstick brightens up the face and looks great on all skin tones. It is perfectly suits medium to dusky skin tones. It is a great lipstick if you want to do some traditional Indian look. The color is gorgeous and looks great on Indian brides.

Texture, Pigmentation and Quality:
This lipstick has a soft and smooth texture that glides well and evenly occupies my lips. It provides amazing coverage and my heavily pigmented lips need just one swipe. It is matte but does not tug or pull the lips. It feels very light and comfortable. It does not turn into a drying matte shade but provides a soft matte finish that is long lasting. I have three other lipsticks from this range but I love the formula and staying power of this one the most.

Staying Power:
This color stays put for 7-8 hours. It does fade a little if you drink or eat something, but that does not affect the color much. The little fading from the middle does not look bothersome. The staying power of this one is better than the others from this range.

Overall:
I am very happy with the formula and color of this lipstick. It is a unique shade in my stash and I will use this frequently.
