My Take on NYX Peekaboo Neutral Lip Liner:

For every day looks, I wear corals or pinks or burgundy shades of lip color, however, because of my pigmented lips, every color looks odd, hence it is imperative that I wear a lip liner underneath to camouflage the darkness and get an even toned canvas to work with.

Packaging:  It looks just like the MAC lip liner. It is a sharpen-able pencil and leads to wastage of product each time.

Texture: Unlike MAC lip liners, this is not as creamy or smooth to apply, but I still love it because the shade is pretty, does give a good coverage, and we all can agree that most of us love NYX lip products 😛

Color:  A pale pink shade with neutral undertones – I thought this shade might not look good on me, but fortunately, it does and goes really well with smokey eye look.

Pigmentation: I won’t say that pigmentation is “over the top” awesome, but it’s still good enough. It can perform better if paired with the right kind of lip balm underneath, otherwise the job gets a little tedious as the liner tugs on the lips and gives a patchy finish. It would have given better color pay off if it had been creamier with a buttery texture and also application would have been better.

Shimmer and Shine:  No shimmer and shine, it gives a matte finish.

Staying Power:  Once applied, it does stay put and also prolongs wear time of the lipstick. However, after meals, one might need to do a little touch up, but otherwise, it makes even a regular lipstick stay for an entire day. I have also used it on its own, with a touch of lip gloss, and I got a good wear time out of it.

I am so happy that I found a cheap yet awesome product. This range covers colors over the entire spectrum – 50 odd shades and has something for everyone. They are good substitutes for the more expensive lip liners out there; however, mind it, they are not the perfect dupes!
