Today, I would like to review a lip liner from the NYX Slide On Lip Liner range in the shade “Pink Cantaloupe.” But on the lip liner itself, NYX says that the name of this liner is long because it deserves to be called all that!!

My Experience with NYX Pink Cantaloupe Slide On Lip Pencil:
Packaging: The packaging of this NYX lip pencil is like a regular sleek pencil with a sturdy cap, which has a colour-coded body to the shade of the lip liner. This pencil is not retractable, it has to be sharpened. Although, I don’t have major complaints with sharpenable pencils, but I would appreciate a built-in sharpener in the cap of the lip pencil to avoid any hassles of carrying a sharpener along. Also, the lip liner has is plastic sealed which gives me so much satisfaction in terms of hygiene.
Color: The shade “Pink Cantaloupe” is a super cool-toned slightly pink-y shade. The shade itself is not that suitable for my skin tone and it looks terrible alone, but can boost the staying power of so many other lipsticks and glosses. A very unique shade, but not everyone’s cup of tea. In fact, I would say that this color is not a must-have in a woman’s makeup kitty.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation of these babies is way much better than the other lip liners that NYX had in the past. Just one swipe deposits a fine amount of color, and if you are looking to wear it on its own, you can just fill in your lips. It has enough color pay-off to hide any lip discoloration.
Texture: The texture is very creamy and not crumble-y or feathery. While applying on the lips, this goes on easily without any tugging or pulling. But the one thing that disturbs me is that in spite of the creamy texture, it’s very drying on the lips. If you see the lips swatches, you’ll see how this lip liner clings to the dry patches of my lips. You cannot wear this baby without exfoliating the lips.
Longevity: Once applied to the lips, these baby to the lips and do not go anywhere at all. No budging, no moving, no smearing, no feathering or fading!! Trust me the longevity of this baby has left me in awe! This stays on the lips for the whole day without feeling heavy.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase NYX Pink Cantaloupe Slide On Lip Pencil?
I do recommend this lip liner as it’s affordable, better quality and has a variety of shades to choose from. If you do not have the issue of dry lips, go for it.
