Hello gorgeous ladies,

I am absolutely loving the new launches by NYX and had picked up quite a few shades from the “High Definition” range of blushes. Today, I would like to share with you my thoughts on the shade “Pink The Town.”

My Experience with NYX Pink The Town High Definition Blush:

Packaging: NYX HD blushes come in a slim and sleek black compact with a cute ribbon closure which is the signature NYX bow clasp. The blush weighs 0.16 oz in size. I think that the amount of product you get is quite generous for the price of just 8 dollars. All in all, I love NYX’s new packaging!

Color: The shade “Pink The Town” is a peachy neutral shade with orange undertones that does not contain any glitter or shimmer at all. This is a pure matte blush and does not have a sheen or glow to it. This is a perfect shade for daily wear and will look very natural on fair to medium complexions. But for beauties with duskier skin tones, this will not show up on the skin much. The name sure is misleading I must say!

Pigmentation: This baby is medium pigmented – not too much like the other variants of the NYX HD Blushes and also not too light to not show up on the skin. In the swatches, the colour does not show up quite well, but on the skin, it is that perfect peachy blush for a natural subtle look.

Texture: The texture of this blush is super powdery. NYX calls this blush “silky,” but it isn’t quite silky to me! It is sure powdery, but not dry nor chalky. And since it’s so powdery, it tends to pick up a lot of product in the brush and ends up being so pigmented on the cheeks.

Longevity: Also, the staying power is extremely impressive. The wear is incredible at around eight hours without fading. I can easily get a full day’s wear from both of these shades, even on my oily skin.

Quality: Overall, I would say these blushes have excellent price, good pigmentation, excellent staying power, but the texture of these blushes is quite powdery in my opinion. They are extremely powdery during application, though not powdery-looking on the skin and quite fragile.  So, I am bit iffy about this blush, but I think I can make it work.

Would I Recommend NYX Pink The Town High Definition Blush?
Although the NYX HD Blushes are cheap, super pigment, and long wearing, I am just not terribly impressed with them. The formula just didn’t really do it for me! If you can grab some on sale you might want to check them out but personally, I think there are a lot of other budget blushes around that perform better. It’s up to you to decide, ladies.
