How are you all doing? Sorry for being MIA for a while. I was on a holiday and had a really good time. Now, I am back to writing for IMBB. Today, I will review the only blush I carried with me on the trip. It is the NYX Powder Blush in Espresso. In one word, I “love” this blush! If you wanna know more, then please keep on reading 🙂
Our pressed powder blush delivers sheer, silky color that glides on, blends beautifully and creates a natural glow. The formula is richly-pigmented and lasts for hours.
My Thoughts on NYX Powder Blush in Espresso:
NYX Blushes are quite famous already. The quality and the number of shade options to choose from are remarkable. Many compare it to MAC Blushes, I won’t call it equivalent to MAC blushes, but these are very good quality wise. NYX Blush Espresso is a wearable mauve pink with a hint of brown. It does not contain any visible shimmer, the finish is purely matte.
Espresso will suit all skin types and most importantly will look stunning on medium to dark skin tones. To me, it is the one of those easy shades of blush which can be worn with any outfit and at any time of the day, and so, I picked only this blush along with me for the trip.
NYX blushes comes in their standard packaging of black square case with transparent lid, makes it easy to identify colors from the stash. I won’t call the packaging to be very sturdy, but it is not so filmsy either. I had a nearly breaking experience while traveling. Espresso has a velvety texture and feels satin like on the skin. Though it crumbles in the pan a bit, but there is no major fallout as such. It goes on the skin effortlessly and is easily buildable too. I found it lacks a bit in the pigmentation department being a soft mauve color. I generally go over the blush 2-3 times to get the desired flush on the cheeks. As far as the lasting power goes, since it is not highly pigmented, it fades away in 2-3 hours. So, you really need to keep it handy for frequent touch ups.
What I Like about NYX Powder Blush in Espresso:
- Compact packaging makes it easy to carry.
- Good quality for the price.
- Beautiful mauve pink color.
- Will suit most skin types.
- Perfect for any time of the day.
- Can be worn with any outfit.
- Satin smooth texture.
- Does not go patchy on application.
What I Do Not Like about NYX Powder Blush in Espresso:
- It lacks in pigmentation department.
- Lasting period is only a few hours.
- Packaging case is prone to breakage.
Is it for you? Yes, you can try it if you are looking for an easy everyday blush option. It is versatile and can be teamed up with any kind of outfit and at any time of the day. I think it is perfect for office wear.
See you next time! Thanks for reading! 🙂
