My Experience with NYX Retractable Eye Liner Gold:
Packaging: This eyeliner comes in a retractable pencil format. The entire pencil is in the color of the shade, and so, this is a gold color pencil. The product details and shade name are provided on the pencil itself. Overall, it is a basic eyeliner packaging.
Shade: NYX offers 13 shades in this range. I already have few shades from this collection and I really like their performance. This shade is a classic sparkling gold color. It is that one particular color which adds a lot of zing to our eye makeup even without an eyeshadow. This shade makes the whole makeup look festive and fun. Though it can be used as an eyeliner and a kajal pencil, I feel that this shade works best as an eyeliner.
Formula: The texture of this pencil is very good and creamy. There is no tugging or pulling on my eyelids. It is highly pigmented; one swipe gives you the needed color on the lids. Since it’s not a sharpenable pencil, initially we can draw thin lines, but once the tip smudges, drawing thin lines may become difficult. The texture of this pencil is too creamy, so the tip may break if more pressure is applied. The pencil applies well, once applied it stays put without moving or smudging. The pencil is also waterproof which makes it pretty great.
Staying Power: The staying power of this pencil is also pretty decent. It stays on the lids for a good 8 hours. I really like how it stays put on my lids without smudging. Though it’s waterproof, it’s easy to remove using a cleansing wipe.
Overall, I am really impressed by this eyeliner. It is one of the best high-performance drugstore eyeliners available in the market.
