I have already reviewed 2 shades from this range. You can read the review of Deep Blue and Deep Purple on IMBB.  This is my third one. Obviously, this range has worked for me. Read on further to know how this one fared for me.

My Take on NYX Retractable Eye Liner – Gray:

This is basically a very slim mechanical pencil. It has no sharpener attached to it. So, it cannot be sharpened. It has the complete list of ingredients on it just like any other NYX product. The pencil comes in the color of the shade, in this case, “gray.”

This is my first gray pencil. I am more into blue, green and brown pencils. I had a feeling that gray would not show up on my pigmented lids. If it shows up, then it would look like black. This pencil breaks both the issue and comes out with flying colors. It is a gray pencil, just gray with no traces of black. If you want me to describe the color, I would say cement color.  The pencil is highly pigmented and shows up properly on my pigmented lids. The color is quite unique. The texture is really good. It glides on my lids very easily. It shows up on my lids in just one swipe. It is very creamy, as a result it might break when applied with pressure. This has not happened with this pencil but has happened with my other pencil.

I have used it both on my upper and lower lash lines. It stays on my normal lids the whole day. The staying power is quite impressive. It is also waterproof and smudgeproof. I have tried and tested it. It comes off easily with an oil-based makeup remover.

• It breaks when applied with pressure.
• Retractable pencil, some may have hygienic concerns.
• I already have 4 pencils from this range. I highly recommend it. I started to like gray pencil. This can be used like brown eyeliners to give a subtle office look.
