NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Boho Chic Review

NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Boho Chic

I am a big fan of all NYX products, I think they have good value with great price and quality. I have being using their Natural cream blush for more than a year now and love it a lot. I got Boho Chic (Rs 650) next, it is a nice pale pink shade with subtle silver glitter which gives you a nice dewy natural look. The shade is somewhat like NYX Natural shade but with micro glitter.

As stated on their website-
Become the starlette Hollywood you were born to be! NYX Rouge Cream Blush provides natural, radiant, long lasting color to the cheeks due to a specially formulated, creamy formulation. Simply dab NYX Rouge Cream Blush onto skin with fingertips to emulate the look of natural, youthful skin.

Net WT. 0.12oz (3.5g)

Ingredients
Ceresin wax, Microcrystalline wax, Polythylene wax, Beeswax, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Mineral Oils, Isopropy Myristate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Lanolin, Diisostearyl malate, Corn starch modifited, Mica, Silica, Titanium dioxide, Butylated hydroxy anisole, Propyl paraben.

As seen the glitter is only visible on close inspection or with flash. The shade gives you natural, dewy pink cheeks. A touch of the product will do as it is very pigmented. One can use it even for daytime even though it has substantial shimmer. I have combination-dry skin, the blush gives me just the perfect dewiness. I use a concealer brush to pick up some color and then use fingertips to blend on my cheeks. Many people use stippling brushes and Q-tips or even fingers to pick up the blush.

To sum it up-

Pros of NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Boho Chic

-Comparable to MAC blushes
-Good quantity
-Good price
-The formula is creamy

Cons of NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Boho Chic

-Needs a good stippling brush/powder brush or Q-tip if you don’t want to use your hands.
-If you have oily skin, this might make you look too shiny.
-Availability in India.

Conclusion

I have tried half of the shades of NYX cream blushes, they are total 12 shades available. I really like them and have therefore never wanted to try the pricer MAC cream blushes. I think these blushes have great shades for Indian complexions and great for people with normal or dry skin. I have also heard many people with oily skin use these cream blushes and then top it off with powder blush to make the blush last longer and give a good matte effect. Anyone who has not tried cream blushes should give these blushes a shot.

all my love for nyx vanished when i saw their pricing in indian stores. i mean if u are priced equally everywhere being expensive is not an issue, but when we can buy online for 2 dollars or something and then u retail it at five six hundred rupees.. it makes no sense to me :shout: :shout: :shout:
am dying to tru nyx stuff though .. waiting for cc sale πŸ˜€

Nikki,

I love NYX blushes. I think they are totally fantastic and great prices. We get them a little expensive here in India but still they are cheaper than many other brands. I have the one in natural. Not picking up more cream blushes as summers are approaching but going to pick up more from NYX in winters. :))

Reply

calicoaster March 4, 2011 at 9:55 am

he he..yeah….I wash my kabuki every two weeks and it is sturdy and soft till date….I simply poured my liquid foundation at the back of my left hand. Took the kabuki and sprayed face mist on it lightly, tapped it on the foundation and applied it..in similar way Rati did a tutorial of applying foundation using stippling brush!! And I was amazed how well my foundation got blended!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
