My take on Nyx Cream Blush in Diva:

 NYX rouge cream blush diva

This is my first cream blush and I am so glad I got it. It is absolutely amazing. Diva looks like a deep reddish maroon in the pan which would scare most of the people. I was quite skeptical about using this blush when I got it but now this has become my go to blush. Though it looks dark maroon in the pan, when blended properly it gives more of a peachy pink look on the cheeks with a hint of red. It doesn’t contain any shimmer or shine. Being very dark, one can easily end up with clown cheeks with this blush. To prevent this, I always apply just one or two dots of this blush on my cheek and then blend it properly by tapping it on cheeks and then using a brush to blend it towards my temples and it ends up giving me a very matte pink toned color. I love it more than any other pink blushes because it gives a natural flush. This color can be used in the day time as well as in the night.

The texture of this blush is amazing. It s very creamy and smooth. It spreads very easily on the cheeks and is super easy to blend and gives a dewy look on the cheeks which can be subsided by a light touch of powder. The pigmentation of this blush is superb. Only one or two dots are required for a natural color. Pigmentation can be builded up. It easily lasts on my oily skin for about 5-6 hours with no base and without any fading. It leaves a slight hint of color even at the end of the day. Despite having oily skin, it hasn’t broken me out. :touchwood:

It comes in a plastic packaging with a see through cover and flip flop cap. I find the cap to be fragile. It does not contain any mirror or brush in it. Being a cream blush, it has hygiene issues. It is important to pick the blush with a clean brush or after sanitizing your fingers.

Pros:

• I love the color. It gives a very nice pink color to cheeks with a hint of red.
• No shimmer or shine
• Perfect for casual wear when applied lightly
• Only a small amount is required, hence would go a very long time
• Super pigmented
• Very easy to blend
• Very smooth and creamy
• Amazing staying power
• Didn’t break me out

Cons:
• Hygiene issues
• Nyx products have high cost in India

Imbb rating:
4.5/5

Will I repurchase/do I recommend?
Absolutely. I am in love with this blush.

  1. Hey Surabhi, This shade is an absolute delight to watch. I have Rose Petal and it is too light for my skin tone. Which brush wud u use for applying cream blush?

    1. Thanks Roopa 🙂 i have read rose petal’s review. I liked that color alot 😛 You could use a pencil or eyeshadow brush to apply the blush and then blend it using a normal blush brush. I do this only. In case i use my fingers to apply it, i tap it first and then blend it with a blush brush 🙂

    1. That’s a very big con 🙁 but You could use a pencil or eyeshadow brush to apply it on cheeks and then blend it with a blush brush. Blush can be picked up from the pan using a q tip too.

  2. u cn use a beauty blender or those square sponges i suppose which u get in a good beauty shop… sad tht beauty blenders are not available in India yet :/ they are supposed to be the best in applying cream blushes 🙁
Thanks fr sharing the review dear

    1. You are most welcome Natasha 🙂
I wish those beauty blenders were available here too for 🙁 but i will definitely try square sponge. Thanks alot for the idea 🙂

    1. Natural is a very pretty color Sukanya 🙂 i love these blushes too for their color pay off. It definitely is bold, for me even but the bold look disappears when used in less quantity and blended well 🙂

  3. I loooove the color Surbhi! How did I miss this? I have a couple of other cream blushes from them, but hadn’t noticed this before, awesome shade and would look so awesome on dusky gals!

    1. Yeah Aarbee. Its very pretty and would suit all skin tones very well. Its happens that we miss stuff sometimes. It happens with me alot and i think the same after reading any review here that how could i miss this stuff 😛

  4. i love suhc colors for blushes. I mean on a total non makeup day, just a blush of this shade a soft gloss add so much freshness to the face. Havent picked up NYX cream blushes in a long time now. Would check in winters. 🙂

    1. This is my first nyx blush and i am totally loving it. I read your review on nyx blushes before gettin it Rati di. I am so glad you reviewed it. I wasn’t sure about it in summers but now the weather is changing, so i thought i should get it now and it would be so easy to wear it in winters 😛
