I have loved this brand NYX, because they make really cute stuff which is super fun to be used every-day. I love their makeup and crayons attract me the most. I am a die-hard lover of red lip-colours, so this had to be picked. I picked up the shade “leading lady” and this shade is something you shouldn’t miss. So scroll to see how it looks 

My Experience with Nyx Simple Red Lip Cream Leading Lady:

Packaging: The lip crayon comes in a colour-coded packaging, which is in deep midnight red. It is a retractable crayon, which makes it super easy for application, as well as very handy. The cap is tight and does not separate from the packaging. I really love how the crayons look but some little flaws in the packaging, can make it very chaotic to be used. The opening and closing of the cap has to be done very carefully, since it chips off a little colour from the bullet every-time. Also, the bullet broke from the base on its own. Believe me, I did not do anything 😛 So, these minor flaws could have been avoided to make it perfect.

Shade: Oh my gosh, the shade is super sexy and gorgeous. The shade “leading lady” is a deep cranberry red, which can rightly be called a midnight red. It is amore between a deep red and a juicy plum colour. The colour is super hot and it is just perfect to complement all the Indian skin-tones. I have been addicted to this shade recently because it is just so amazing.

If you are someone who cannot carry bold or warm reds, then this is the safest one to go for. It brightens up my skin-tone in seconds, just a swipe of this lip crayon makes my face all perked up.

Finish and pigmentation: The finish is semi matte initially but later after a while, it turns matte which looks super classy. But it is a creamy matte finish, as it transfers a lot. Do I really need to say anything about the pigmentation; you can look at the snaps and make it out yourself. I have just swiped it once on my lips.

Staying power: The staying power is somewhere around 4-5 hours, without any snacks or meals. But its staying power gets a lot more reduced if I eat anything. Once I eat half of the colour gets ripped off completely. Also, it transfers really bad on my hands or tissues or glasses and even the food. I could see myself eating this lip crayon while having food.

• It does not fully survive the meals.
• Transfers like crazy.
• The bullet broke from the base on its own.
• The bullet is soft; so, some colour gets scratched from the bullet while closing the cap.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Nyx Simple Red Lip Cream Leading Lady?
I really loved this one and I could surely put it into the “best reds” category of my collection. I am not sure about a repurchase due to packaging flaws, but if you can handle your cosmetics carefully, then do not miss it.

I loved this collection and would love to try more from NYX! 
