My Experience with NYX Single Eyeshadow- Sparkle Cedar:

Like all the other Nyx eye shadows this one also comes in a basic small black square packaging with a transparent lid, which shuts well. The shade name, ingredients and everything is mentioned on the back side, but is not visible due to price tag and date details.

Unlike all the other shades from this range I am slightly disappointed with this one in terms of quality and smooth-ness, even though I love the color. The shade “Sparkle Cedar” is a very light taupe, unlike the traditional taupe’s which are normally on the darker side and look too purple. It almost looks like warm toned silver to me with a touch of champagne to it.I particularly do not like silver eye shadows on myself as they comes off quite cool toned but this one is gorgeous and wearable shade for Indian skin tone due to the neutral undertones it has, this one appears slightly warm toned on me. It looks stunning as an all over the lid shade. It has a nice sheen due to metallic finish along with some glitter particles as the name suggests. The thing I do not like is the specs of glitter it has, the glitter is not very finely milled and very much visible which also causes some fallout in the pan when picked with a brush.

When used alone it appears slightly lighter and over a primer it comes off more as a true color as to how it looks in the pan.
The texture is okay not as smooth and soft as their other shades are, it might also be due to the glitter it has, as a reason there is some fallout. It blends out nicely and the pigmentation is decent. It does not sheer out upon blending and works well with layering. On my oily eye lids it lasts for 5 hours without a primer before it starts to crease, but with a good primer it stays intact for 7 hours, after which I notice some creasing. In the swatches I have used a primer underneath on left and have worn it alone on right.

Pros of NYX Single Eyeshadow- Sparkle Cedar:

• Nice and neutral shade
• Easily available
• Good pigmentation
• Decent staying power
• Blends out easily

Cons NYX Single Eyeshadow- Sparkle Cedar:

• There is some fallout
• Has silver glitters init which are not very finely milled
• It is not as smooth as other nyx eye shadows

Do I recommend NYX Single Eyeshadow- Sparkle Cedar?

This is certainly not one of their best eyeshadows in terms of texture and I am not a fan of the glitter it has, it is good to skip this one.
