Hello beautiful ladies,

NYX has been one of my favorite brands since the last few months and I can’t stop buying more and more NYX products. I don’t know the exact reason of loving NYX products; it might be the quality of products, huge shade selection or may be an affordable price range. Whatever may be the reason, I just love NYX products, and today here I am for reviewing another NYX product from my collection. Today, it will be a slim eye pencil in the shade Moss.

INR 295 for 1 gm.

Packaging:

NYX slim eye pencils are simple looking pencils in black with a black cap, the base of the pencil is colored in the actual color of the pencil, making it easy to recognize the color without opening the cap.

Ingredients:

Sorbitan Isostearate, Isocetyl Stearate, Polyethylene, Phenyl Trimethicone, Candelilla Cera, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter Unsaponifiables, *Cera Alba, *Simmondsia Chinensis Oil, *Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, *Nylon-12, *Octyldodecanol, Polyglyceryl-2-Diisostearate, *Silica, Cera Carnauba, Hydrogenated Coconut Oil, Tocopherol, PVP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Stearakonium Hectorite, Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate, Propylparaben, Propylene Carbonate.

My Take on NYX Slim Eye Pencil in Moss:

Moss, as the name suggests, is a shade of green. It is named perfectly as it actually resembles the color of Moss. Moss is not a matte color, neither it has shimmer, it is actually a color with pearl effect. It has some kind of a metallic shine. This is my second pencil of this type, before this, I had one in yellow and honestly saying, I personally found a great difference in both the pencils. The biggest difference I can point out is the softness of the pencil. While yellow was a little hard, this particular color has the perfect softness. It easily glides on the lids without feeling harsh or too soft.

Pigmentation wise, the color is just average, it does not give a very good color on first swipe, but the color can easily be built in 2-3 swipes. If left untouched, the color stays for a really long period of time.  Once I applied it in the morning around 9 and when I saw it around 2, it was still there. So, it stays easily for 5 hours if left untouched. After 5 hours, it starts fading evenly, and after 7-8 hours, no one can tell that you applied a liner.  This makes the color easy to remove.  The color becomes completely invisible even on slight rubbing. Moss is a kind of shade that looks beautiful both as a liner as well as on lower lash line.

Pros of NYX Slim Eye Pencil in Moss:

• Slim and sturdy packaging.
• Decent pigmentation which can easily be built.
• Good staying power.
• Color is easy to recognize without opening the cap.

Cons of NYX Slim Eye Pencil in Moss:

Although they are normal-sized pencils and can be sharpened with any normal sharpener, I still wish that NYX had some kind of sharpener attached with them.

Would I Repurchase NYX Slim Eye Pencil in Moss?

Not this color, as I don’t think, I will be able to use this soon, it will take me a long long time to finish this but yes I will think of trying some other different shades from this collection.

Do I Recommend NYX Slim Eye Pencil in Moss?

If you are a fan of green liners, and would like to try something different yet affordable, this is a good option.
