 Nyx Slim Eye Pencil Satin Blue

I love colored eyeliner, though I don’t wear them very often, but I do like hoarding them. On daily basis I am more of a black and brown eye liner person. I had other colors but did not have blue eyeliner, and was on lookout for a good one. I wanted a medium blue liner with a satin finish. So after swatching few shades I went ahead with this one. Let’s see how it fared.

My experience with Nyx slim eye pencil Satin Blue-

The pencil is very small and can be carried around easily. Nyx has some great shades of eyeliner pencils. When I swatched the shade I liked it a lot, it had a satin finish I wanted and was also not too dark. The color is a medium blue color. But then the color payoff comes out only after 3 swipes otherwise it looks sheer. The texture is not very smooth and creamy, but not too hard as well, somewhere in between. It has never bled on my eyes. It does have tiny shimmer particles in it, but they look very pretty.

I have worn it both on my upper as well as lower lash line and they was no irritation or anything. On the upper lash line it stays for 6-7 hours, on waterline it stays for 4-5 hours after which it starts to fade it stays on for longer if patted on with a blue eye shadow. The one thing I really like abut nyx eye pencils is that they come in a variety on shades, I mean there were literally 3 shades of blue from light to dark , from matte to shimmer everything. It is really difficult to find such variety of shades with Indian brands. The problem with this eye pencil is color pay off; in the swatch I have swiped it literally 4 times to get the true color. It is not very pigmented. Also it needs to be sharpened often which can lead to product wastage. The texture stays same through, it does not set or something likes other pencils.

• Stays on for 5-6 hours without smudging
• Does not sting

Cons of Nyx Slim Eye Pencil Satin Blue

• Bad color pay off
• Not very smooth and creamy
• Not very long lasting

Recommendation– They are better options available in the market, I would like to try them.
