My Experience with NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream San Juan:

Packaging: I love the color-coordinated tube which helps distinguish the shade right off the bat. The shade name is mentioned via a sticker at the bottom of the tube.

Applicator: The wand is short and precise. It is a double-sided doe foot wand, so it picks up enough product for you to coat your entire lips with a single dip using both sides.

Shade: “San Juan” is described as bright peachy orange color. It is quite a statement color because of how bright it is. It’s one of those shades which you can pair with minimal eye makeup. A simple winged liner and a bright shade like this is all you need to turn heads. It has good pigmentation. It applies a bit streaky in one layer, but I was able to get to an opaque finish in two layers.

Texture and Feel: The texture of this lip cream is quite pleasing. It feels featherlight on the lips, almost like a hybrid of a mousse and a cream which sets to a soft matte look as it dries.
When I wear this, I totally forget the fact that I have something on my lips.

Pigmentation: While all shades that I own from this range have good pigmentation, I have noticed some apply streakier and dry patchier than others. I have found that the shades on the lightest end (some of the n*des and pastel shades) and the darkest end of the spectrum (some vampy shades and unconventional shades etc) from their range can be streaky and it can get very difficult to make them look even even with multiple coats. Most of the shades in the middle( pinks, reds , browns etc) perform fantastic.

Staying Power: This particular shade wore 4-5 hours before starting to fade away. It did not survive through a full meal and there is a need to reapply.

Overall, I am impressed with this product and with this range, especially for this super affordable price tag, but I would urge you to read reviews for the shades you are eyeing as the performance is not consistent across the board for all shades.
