I bought NYX Nude Matte shadows as part of my makeup haul from Ulta and this is the third shadow I am writing about. I was not so excited about the last two shades that I had reviewed (Bare My Soul and Birthday Suit), but this one is a winner. Read further to know about this product.

My Take on NYX Stripped Nude Matte Shadow:
Packaging: I love the packaging. It is smaller than my MAC mono eyeshaddow; the product comes in a nice little shiny black case. A clear window shows the product and has NYX Nude Matte Eyeshadow printed in black lettering. On the back, ingredients list and the shade name is also mentioned. These are quite small but the outer packaging is wider/taller than my Urban Decay single eyeshadows.
Texture: It is a powder compact eyeshadow set in a circular aluminum pan. It has a very smooth texture with negligible shimmer – barely there (wonder why it’s there at all). The finish is matte, but surprisingly has negligible fall out, it is easier to pick on a brush compared to the last shades that I have reviewed. It is a bit more pigmented, easy to apply and blend.
Color: It is an opaque black eyeshadow with negligible shimmer.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is good, unlike the previous two shades; gives good color payoff in one swipe. I gently swiped my finger tips on the shadow and it picked up a good amount of product and I was delighted to see that it had minimal fallout. It is a dry/wet shadow and can be used either way, but it gives a better wear time if applied with a damp brush and a primer underneath.
Application: I used it on my lids to do a grunge – black eye makeup look. One can also use it on the crease to add a smokey effect.
Staying Power: 8 to 9 hours and maybe more, but I removed it after that, but it did stay put during the entire duration. It didn’t budge or move around, neither gave me raccoon eyes. One can increase the wear time with a primer or white eye shadow underneath.
This is a very good product for the money spent and I love the color and finish of this particular shade. I bought 4 shadows from this range and all of them are unique shades. I prefer palettes since they occupy less space but the colors were so irresistible that I had to try out these shadows.

- Shades are good and cover the entire spectrum.

Cons of NYX Stripped Nude Matte Shadow:
- Not available in India yet.
- Less quantity.
Would I Repurchase NYX Stripped Nude Matte Shadow?
No, because it will last me big time, but otherwise, I absolutely love this shade and totally recommend to all those who love to use black eye color in their everyday makeup routine.
