O.P.I Bastille My Heart Classic Nail Lacquer Review, NOTD

Today I am reviewing “OPI Nail Color”in the shade “Bastille My Heart. It’s a deep burgundy or apple red color that I wanted to get for a long time. So let us get started.

Product Description:

Make hearts race in this glimmer of rich burgundy. This shade has the right amount of shimmer to reflect light beautifully without being flashy or distracting. It gives an awesome finish with 2 coats.

Packaging:
The packaging is very classy and comes in a glass bottle that helps during selection process. It has good medium sized brush that covers most part of the nail with just one swipe.

Ingredients:
Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Propyl Acetate, Tosylamide/Formadehyde Resin, Isopropyl Alcohol, Trimethyl Pentanyl, Diisobutyrate, Triphenyl Phosphate, Ethyl Tosylamide, Camphor, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Diacetone Alcohol, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Benzophenone-1, Citric Acid, Dimethicone.

My take on O.P.I Bastille My Heart Classic Nail Lacquer:

The shade “Bastille My Heart” is a deep burgundy color with the right amount of shimmer, which is what I like a lot about this color. This shade suits very well for all kind of occasions. I really like the consistency. It is very thick and we can  get a nice finish with one coat. But with 2 coats we get a perfect burgundy color.

Below is the NOTD with one single coat.

It takes about a minute or two for the first coat to dry. I feel like it is a decent time for the nail color to get dried. When we apply the 2nd coat, the application goes very smooth. There is no patches or thickening of the nail color. Next important thing is the staying power. It stays for almost 10 days with minimal fading of color. I think this nail color does a pretty good job.

We cannot use this shade without a base coat. It leaves a  stain on the nails which disappoints me. It works well with a base and top coat.

Overall, I like “OPI – Bastille My heart”. This shade has a very rich tone to it, I am obsessed with this shade.

• Long Lasting.
• Dries quite fast.
• Good sized brush.

Cons of O.P.I Bastille My Heart Classic Nail Lacquer:

Leaves a stain on the nails when used without a base coat.
