Skin Type: oily, acne prone with open pores

Today, I will be reviewing a sunscreen from the brand O3+. I am a fan of Lotus Herbals products but I thought to try something different this time and bought this product instead when I was looking for a sunscreen. Let’s see how O3+ Mattifying Gel Cream with SPF 50 performed in this scorching summer.

The O3+ Mattifying Gel Cream SPF 50 is a light gel base formula that instantly provides sun protection without giving an oily or greasy feeling to the skin. It gives a matte feel to the skin while giving a skin lightening effect.

My Experience with O3+ Mattifying Gel Cream SPF 50:
It comes in a white plastic tube packaging with the claims, ingredients, price etc. It has a cap which shuts with a click, which I feel is quite travel friendly as there won’t be any spillage of product. Since it is a tube packaging, it is hygienic and we can control the amount of product which is required.
As the product claims, this as a gel cream, which is a bit confusing. I feel this has a light cream-like texture. It is lightweight and gets absorbed well into the skin. This product has a light citrusy smell (like Liril soap), which feels quite refreshing in this summer.
I am using this product for the past one week. Just a little product is enough for the whole face and upon applying, it gives a little cooling sensation which is good along with the refreshing citrus scent. This cream does not clog pores and gives a bit of brightening effect, but you apply a bit more, it leaves a whitish cast on the face.
I have oily skin, but this product doesn’t provide any mattifying effect contrary to what it claims. When I wear this cream under the sun for quite a few hours, it makes my skin more oily, and I hate it. This cream did not cause break outs on my skin. it has helped me from getting tanned. Overall, this is an average sunscreen.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend O3+ Mattifying Gel Cream SPF 50?
No, I won’t repurchase this gel cream as I am happy with my Lotus Sunscreen. I would recommend this product to try if you want a product with high SPF.
