  1. Compact is good, but using foundation day to day basis can harm your skin, mineral range of compacts and fundation can be used daily, but here in India whatever mineral cosmetics you get is not pure mineral, contains other chemicals too.You can use biotique tinted moisturiser and colorbar 3 in 1 compact or lakme perfect radiance,or lotus compact, boujois detox compact ! :))

    1. Taps, I agree with u on Biotique tinted moisturiser, it gives a decent coverage and stays put for 6 hours easily. It also has sunscreen so no need to wear another, yet will show up a matte effect for full 6 hours.

  2. Tapaswini is right… foundation on daily basis for long hours will harm your skin.. compact can be used.. The body shop pressed powder is very good.. whatever you use it should be of good quality.
Even simple eyeliner with lip gloss will work for office..!!
    Hope this helps.. :))

  3. hi priyam.. either get sum gud TM like ponds or biotique..or take a light foundation as Revlon touch & glow, or lakme invisible foundation & mix it while applying ur sunscreen… use any gud compact.. tapas mentioned above.. lotus & lakme or maybelline have gr8 compacts…
    hope it helps..

  4. I agree with tapaswini, nids and karishma…go light on the face with compact,kajal/liner and some matte lipstick…carry them for touchups…Lotus/Maybelline/Lakme are pocket friendly too..

  5. hey priyam..u can go for a tinted moisturiser and a compact upon if u like d matte look..and if u like dewy just the tinted moisturiser..ponds is nice..n lakme multi mineral compact is good…try lotus moist petals lipstick or colorbar velvet matte in natural nude shades….dey have very gud staying power..and just a black eyeliner or khol if u like..u will be gud to go..

  6. i would totally suggest using a mositurizer, concealer (wherever reqd) and some powder to set it. if you like some color on your face, do apply a light blush/brozer. I think the eyes would be a nice feature to do up. an eyeliner would do the trick and also wear a peach/pink lipstick or lip balm..the right attitude, smart clothes and a smile should complete the look ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. like everyone has said above , use tinted moisturiser and some compact. i often mix some calamine with moisturiser on days my skin is behaving badly. just use some blush , and lipbalm and kohl and you are good to go. you can also use some lipstick and top it with balm. if you work in an ac environment i recommend that you use some facial mist, or skin toner. you can carry some with you to work. this way when you retouch your compact you wont end up looking cakey.

  8. I do wear Ponds TM and Lakme skin radian mineral compact. They give a descent coverage and skin looks flawless. I works best for me. I use maybelline colossal kajal and Lakme black impact liner. Lipstick, is maybelline moisture extreme honey ginger a nice nude ๐Ÿ™‚ try this. Simple yet stunning :yahoo:

  9. Using a good foundation, just a bit to hide all the imperfections is okay for everyday use…..atleast I do that, but only if you are strict about makeup removing ritual every evening.

I have the one (foundation) that has SPF, I use a primer some days, that helps it keep bit longer…..and also mositurizer before primer….which also has SPF……it keeps skin nice and supple all day. I use compact to set my foundation as well…that too a bit….

Overall its a nice base for any makeup. A slight sweep of your fav blush, a neat thin eyeliner around eyes, a touch of pink gloss on lips…..that should be enough for starts……and looks pretty and done!

Depending on your clothes for the day, dab a neutral matte eyeshadow to keep it looking fresh! All of the above should happen in under 5-7 minutes…..but end result is “wow she looks fresh and reliable”…….

  10. Hi Priyam! I’ve started working just around 8 months ago and as a fresher, wanting to concentrate on my job( I work in the software field) and still wanting to look good..though none of it succeeds at the end of the day! :dumb: And since I’m required to stay put in office till 9 hrs daily, this is what I follow to keep it simple and still look presentable  :yikes:
I cleanse my face, spray rose water and wait for it to dry while while I arrange my dress for the day
    1) Then I mix a little bit of my oil free moisturizer with Lakme daily wear souffle to get my tinted moisturizer.
    2) Use a powder brush to set it with Maybelline Whitestay UV compact, coz I like it matte..Skip this step if u like dewy complexion.
    3) For eyes I follow this duo to avoid looking over done..
    i) Lakme eyebrow pencil & VoV kajal pencil
    OR
ii) Lakme eyebrow pencil & Lakme eye artist pen liner
    OR
iii) Lakme eyebrow pencil & Maybelline colossal volum’ express mascara.
lol yes eyebrow pencil is a necessity for me since I don’t have thick brows :weep:
Skip it if u’ve got em thick and just use any of the remaining products in tandem.
    4) Finally I swipe on some Nivea fruity shine lip balm or the pinkish boost variant and I’m done..

Phew that was long! And I hope it helps you! O:)

    1. sukanya i like your routine. :))

I am also getting ovsessed with eyebrows now. I like have to ahve to fill in my eyebrows no matter what. ๐Ÿ˜› I use a dark brown eyeshadow but my mom totally love her lakme eyebrow pencil. ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Hii Rati di! I tried using dark brown eyeshadow jaise aapne suggest kiya tha in some of ur tutorials, but na, it keeps falling thodu thodusa on my browbone, so I’m not able to set it properly! I tried a brow wax kit but that too ended looking fake coz I used too much! ๐Ÿ˜› I used to have Christian Dior ka eyebrow groomer but pencil khatam ho gya uska.. used to be the best! Ekdum natural looking no matter how much you rub it in :weep:

        1. hihihihihihi :puchhi:

sukanya pick up eyeshadow with your brush and just dab the brush at the back of your hand once or twice . your eyeshadow would never fall . :))

          1. true Rati…. even i started using an eyeshadow after reading about it from you to fill the brows and i feel it kind of looks neat ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. I am a software emplyee too and sit in AC for almost 10 hours a day and then 4 hours journey filled with all kinds of pollutants u can imagine
    – Face: Cleansing, toning with rose water( started after imbb suggestions) little moisturizer on face and compact ( i dont usually prefer creams on face so just use minimal moisturizer)
-Eyes: I have dark circles – so applying pongs gold radiance eye cream and compact( u can apply any mositurizing eye cream i m using gold radiance as I have purchased it without reading reviews and it does nothing than moisturizing and for that you dont need to spend 700 bucks), maybeliine gel liner and lakme satin kajal( just using it to finish it off else i prefer lakme 9 to 5 eyeliner in black it just stays on for 7- 8 hours). I just started using a grey maybelline eyeliner to line lower lash
    – Lips: any lite shade with gloss – make sure it’s long stay.

    N u r done ๐Ÿ™‚ presentable and no OTT
