Taking a break from Bath and Body Works, today is a different skin care product which is very important in our daily regimen. Toning is an important part of our skin care regimen which should never be skipped. Initially, as many of you girls out there, even I thought that toning is only for oily skin beauties and I can skip it. Well, most of the toners used to dry out my dry skin even more. Though I have been using toners religiously in my skin care regimen from a long time now, I have always been in the search for a toner that would hydrate my skin rather than stripping it off all the moisture.

Olay launched its active botanicals skin care range around August this year. The first thing I picked from this range is the toner and I have been using it for more than 3 months now, so I feel this is the right time to review this toner as I have tried it out for a sufficient amount of time.  Let us find out whether my search has ended with Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizing Toner or not.

My Experience with Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizing Toner:

Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizing Toner comes in a white bottle which has beautiful graphics on it. The bottle is translucent which makes it easy to see the quantity of the product remaining. The bottle has a screw top cap which closes securely. The nozzle has an opening from which product comes out in a controlled manner. It comes secured in a white carton which is sealed. I like that it is sealed as it ensures that the product is unopened and untouched. The product also comes in a small 20 ml travel-sized packaging as well.

The toner is transparent in color and consistency is watery.  It has a slight fragrance to it which is mild and pleasing. I have no issues with it, but people who like their skin care to be fragrance free, may not like it.  When I started using it, I did not like it initially. It just felt like scented water and I did not see that it was making any change to my skin.

It did not give me any tingling sensation on application. 😉 But after using it for a few weeks, I have noticed a lot of difference in my skin – in a good way. 😀 It clears off dirt and grime from my face very gently and does not leave any residue on my skin.

Also, it soothes and calms my skin. It moisturizes my skin and hydrates it. I do not have to rush to apply the moisturizer. It has cleared all the dry patches I had and has brightened my skin. Now, the most amazing effect of the toner that I have seen in past months – it has reduced my pore size a lot. 😀 Though it doesn’t talk about any such effect in the description, but who’s complaining. 😉

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Olay Active Botanicals Moisturizing Toner?

This has been my savior in this cold weather. It has done only good for my skin. I am loving this toner! Though, I am always looking out for new products to try out, but I guess my search for my HG toner has ended and I would be surely repurchasing this. I would definitely recommend it to all the girls who are looking for a moisturizing toner.
