Today I’m back with a review on a SPF product. Although it is nearing end of Summer, it is still important to keep your skin protected at all times with an appropriate SPF. Today I’m going to be reviewing the Olay complete day fluid, which has SPF of 25. To know more about my thoughts, please keep on reading.

My Take on the Olay Complete Day Fluid Normal/Dry spf 25:
I love the packaging that this product comes in; it comes with a pump so it is easy to squeeze out the desired amount of product and so fuss free. I’ve found that this applies onto the skin effortlessly and unlike a lot of SPF’s, it doesn’t leave a white cast. The SPF blends into the skin easily. It also doesn’t leave my face oily and the texture of the SPF feels quite light, so it feels very comfortable on the skin and not too heavy. The scent of this product is also not too overpowering, it has a quite fresh and floral scent. This product claims to give 24-hour moisture which I cannot attest to since I don’t think anyone would wear SPF on their face for 24 hours straight! Not only that but if you’re out and about in the sun, you must reapply the SPF every few hours, you can’t just apply the SPF on once and expect it to protect you for 24 hours! As well as this, I’ve noticed that after a few hours my face starts to look oily so I like to remove the residue and apply another layer of sunscreen.
The most unfortunate thing I found though was that this SPF breaks me out terribly. At first I didn’t realize what was causing the breakouts, until I had accidentally misplaced the product and couldn’t find it so didn’t use it for a few days. My breakouts immediately cleared up after I stopped using it and I realized then what the culprit was. It really is a huge shame because this SPF was amazing otherwise and I was applying it every day prior to this. However, since I know that this is so problematic for my skin, I am no longer using it. I think a possible reason why I got such terrible breakouts was because it may have been a bit too moisturizing for my oily complexion and therefore clogged up my pores.
Pros of Olay Complete Day Fluid Normal/Dry SPF 25:
- Does not leave a white cast.
- Blends into the skin easily.
- Comes with a pump- easy to use.
- Doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.
Cons of Olay Complete Day Fluid Normal/Dry SPF 25:
- Gave me terrible breakouts.
Would I Repurchase Olay Complete Day Fluid Normal/Dry SPF 25?
No, It is such a shame that my skin didn’t react well to this because otherwise I had no issues at all with this SPF. At one point, I was actually so happy to have discovered this because I loved the fact that it didn’t make my face feel oily nor did it leave a white cast but my optimism unfortunately didn’t last for long! Whilst I would recommend oily skinned girls to perhaps stay clear, I think those with normal or dry skin should give it a try and you might fare a lot better with it. Thanks for reading my review and I hope to be back soon with another one!
