Olay Regenerist Advance Cleansing System Review

Olay Regenerist Advance Cleansing System

Hey girls,
I doubt cleansing systems are new to any of us. I mentioned in the past that I did purchase a drugstore one but that went out of service pretty quickly. I was pretty hesitant to get this but I caved. I’ve been using it for quite a while now since I got it and it’s ready for a review! 🙂

My Take On Olay Regenerist Advance Cleansing System:

Inside the box it contains the device, a brush head, a 20ml travel size skin renewal cleanser and 2 AA batteries.

The device itself is lightweight and small, I think it’s a little smaller than the Clarisonic ones which makes it easy if you’re travelling. It is battery operated, has two speeds and totally waterproof, so using it in the shower which makes cleansing easier for those whom like doing it in the shower. This device doesn’t come with a charger, so there’s no fuss of charging it. You just have to change the batteries when the juice runs out.

On to the take, my first impression of the brush was that it was going to be rough, I felt like maybe the bristles might irritate my skin. When I unboxed it and felt the brush, I was pleasantly surprised. The brush head felt soft and the bristles felt really gentle. The device itself was also really tiny and sleek.

I tend to use this daily as my skin is pretty dry these days and there tends to be a lot of dead cells blocking my pores. This device is very gentle on skin and I usually use this on the lowest speed. It exfoliates my skin gently, getting rid of all the dead skin cells and my skin soft. This device also deep cleans my pores, leaving my pores clean, unclogged and refreshed. My skin tone has also improved from this, I’ve gotten fairer and my skin is healthier too these days. Not to mention, even my skin texture has changed!

Before using this, my skin texture wasn’t really ideal. Foundation would cake on me in certain areas because of my dry skin. However after using this, I find that my skin texture became smoother, foundation glides on easily and my skin takes makeup and absorbs skin care products really well. It also helps with breakouts, under-eye dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles. After using this, my dark circles were noticeably lighter and I haven’t had any breakouts after using this as it removes dirt and debris in my pores well.

This sadly doesn’t help in minimizing pores, getting rid of whiteheads or blackheads. I actually have pretty large pores on my nose and really light blackheads but I’ve noticed no difference to my pores or my blackheads. I’ve still got blackheads and my pores are still there and still the same size.

This also doesn’t come with a T-Timer and it’s pretty manual. However, that isn’t a problem as you can always check the Clarisonic website for the time needed for each part of your face. I’d say that this is still more affordable than the Clarisonic cleansing systems and the brush is required to be changed every 3 months but it doesn’t cost much to do so. A replacement brush head costs RM 27.90 ($9.90).

  1. I had tried that neutrogena wave cleanser, it was hyped up so much, but turned out to be a complete dud. My dream is still clarisonic, but if I could pick this up, I would 😛 Thanks for the review Natasha!
