OPI Nail Lacquer Too Hot Pink To Hold Em Review
Hi Lovely ladies,
I am here to review a much-hyped brand in nail polish category – OPI. Today, we have a pinkish-red color from OPI which is called “Too hot pink to hold em.” I am nail polish junkie and love to wear bright pinks/ neon’s/ reds / berry colors. How many of you like to follow the trend of nail colors according to the season? I do 🙂 I love to wear reds/berry colors during winters and bright neon colors during summers. I was very happy to find OPI nail lacquers on sale at Ulta and grabbed some interesting colors for winter. Without much ramble, I will give you all a detailed review on this nail color. OPI is one of the best nail polish brands out in market. They have a huge range of colors to their collection for any season, any skin tone.
My Take on OPI Nail Lacquer Too Hot Pink To Hold Em:
I love bright colors on my nails. They make my hands appear bright. I was eyeing a reddish pink which would suit medium skin tones and I finally found a perfect color for my preference. Too Hot Pink To Hold Em is not actually a hot pink. To me, it looks more like a bright pink with red undertones, more like a watermelon color. The shade looks different in different light settings. It looks neon under bulbs, red under tube light and pinkish red/neon red in day light. It’s kind of hard to explain the exact color. It is more of a summery color, I loved rocking this color during summer and I will definitely use it for winter too. This color is categorized as a gel polish.
Color: A bright pinkish-red color leaning more towards pink and definitely not hot pink as the name suggests.
Application: It glides on the nail very smoothly without being patchy and rough.
Color Payoff: It has a nice color payoff and gives an opaque color to the nails in just 2 coats.
Finish: It gives a nice and smooth jelly finish to the nails without any shimmer.
Nail polish wand/brush: The brush is quite big enough to cover the whole nail in 2 swipes.
Longevity: It has a nice staying power of up to 5 days without a base and top coat (even after cleaning utensils with hands and using a lot of water). 10 days with a base/top coat.
Drying Time: It has a quick drying time, I would say 15-20 minutes in total for two coats. I use this nail polish when I am in a hurry as it dries quickly and doesn’t get clumsy as some nail polish do when they are not completely dry.
Smell: It has a very strong nail polish scent to it which can be bothersome to a few.
Price: A little on the expensive side for a nail polish.
Ease of removal/staining on nails: This color can be easily removed from nails with just one swipe of remover and it doesn’t leave a stain behind which is a huge plus.
Color suitable for: This color looks gorgeous on any skin tone.

Cons of OPI Nail Lacquer Too Hot Pink To Hold Em:
