OPI Touring America fall collection 2011, I eat mainely lobster,
Hey friends.. 🙂
I am extremely happy and excited to share my today’s surprise gift from my hubby..:) yayyy it’s a nail polish from OPI Touring America Fall collection 2011. Recently my hubby noticed huge gathering around his office cafeteria (it was a Halloween stall by the way.. :P) and he heard buzzing about these OPI gel colors among his female colleagues. Well I don’t’ know how he also got carried away by the buzz and instantly called me up (I guess he was not able to figure out the price till then.. lol). I was freaking happy by the time I heard he is standing at OPI stall. I just told him get me your favourite color as I know my hubby when I ask him (please read order.. :P)anything he will never bother but when I leave my decisions and purchases on him, he surprises me all the time! I was eagerly waiting for him to come home like I never did before.. 😛 I was sure he will surely get me something. Well I love my hubby but sometimes we are more eager and focused on our gifts rather than anything.. 😛 lol 😀 And yes he bought 2 wonderful nail paints from OPI. So here I go with my first ever coral nail polish “I eat mainely lobster”. Gals please read on further to know more about “I eat mainly lobster”.. 🙂 I am pretty sure we all are well aware of OPI thanks to IMBB’s progressive and wonderful team and writers. 🙂
Price: $ 8.50 for 0.5 Fl oz (15 ml), price may vary store to store. He bought it for $ 6.99.. 🙂

Recently they launched new Gel Color nail lacquers from OPI Gel Color Collection, also known as OPI Axxium Soak Off Gel Nail Collection. It is used only for professional purpose and it comes usually in opaque black bottle. It does have same shade with name “I Eat mainely lobster”. I guess it retails for $ 34 in some beauty salons.
Packaging: This shimmery coral nail lacquer comes in sturdy transparent glass bottle with shade details printed at bottom and other credentials embossed all over packaging. I love its sturdy black cap with OPI embossed on top which adds class to whole product.
My Experience With OPI “I eat mainely Lobster”: Well hubby darling used to hear OPI…OPI… like anything from my mouth every now and then since I spotted them in stores and read about them in IMBB.. 😀 Finally, he gifted these obsessed goodies to me. However, I am still searching for my red nail paint as both of these OPI nail paints are not my reds. Initially I tried to explain him “mera wala red” but he is always confused. Actually these guys have just one red in their dictionary while we ladies have tomato red, fire red, cherry red, apple red etc.. 😛 I know he is fond of sea food and probably that’s how he ended up buying this lobster red.. :P. Whatever, I love his choice and appreciate it. 🙂 Anyways, coming over “I Eat mainely Lobster”, it is bright shimmery coral nail paint with hint of slight pinks as well. It looks bright coral in shade at day time and by the evening it looks pinkish coral on my nails in artificial tube light. I love it for the fact that it brightens my skin tone.
My fingers and toe nails look much clean and fair after wearing it wow! The brush applicator looks normal like maybelline colorama nail paint brushes but it is quite efficient in painting top coat on all fingers of one hand in a single dip. I dip this brush just twice for applying 2-2 coats on single hand. Isn’t it great?
But one thing is slight bothering, maybe I am still a learner or what this nail color demands 2-3 coats for perfect finish or say clean finish on nails. At first swipe it looks very uneven on nails and I need at least 2 more swipes to even out the finishing. And yes in less than 2 minutes I am ready to hit kitchen and laundry. It gives really glossy shiny finish after drying super fast on nails and this glossy shine is still on my nails, while it is my 5th day of wearing it and I soaked my hands zillion times in detergents and water since day 1 of wearing it (well I swear by great US president Abraham Lincoln who preferred to do his own work). We don’t get maids here readily so we usually prefer doing our own work.. 😛 lol Anyways, I could not see a single chipping and tearing after working in kitchen and laundry. This is unusual for messy mum like me. The best thing is this nail paint comes off easily in just one swipe of nail paint remover no matter I apply 2 coats or 3 coats. I am really hopeful to see this glossy coral nail paint on my nails for another 5 days as per OPI claim. While concluding I would say I happily join OPI fan group and recommend OPI nail paints to all gals for their glossy shiny colors, super drying nature and long lasting finish on nails.
Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros of OPI Nail Lacquer I Eat Mainely Lobster:
• A bright shimmery coral nail paint
• While wearing this particular shade hands and feet look comparatively clean and fair
• DBP and toluene free nail paint
• It does gives extended finishing on nails with glossy shine
• Does not chip or smudge easily even after working in kitchen or laundry 24×7
• Long lasting 15 ml bottle for relatively lower price as of now
Cons of OPI Nail Lacquer I Eat Mainely Lobster
• Might be price (however we get double quantity as compared to other drugstore nail paints)
• It also needs 2-3 coats for proper finishing else it looks uneven on nails in one coat.
Currently I am loving my glossy coral nails and hope I need not to change my nail paint before karwachauth. Being a mum I cannot experiment with my nail paints frequently as my toddler is always waiting for her mum to get engaged somewhere else while she gets hold of these stuffs. Scary.. 😛 Hence I prefer long lasting nail paints and undoubtedly I am going to purchase only OPI in future considering my super notorious toddler and this 15 ml bottle.. 🙂
