My Experience with Oralabs Chap Ice Watermelon Lip Balm:
Before beginning with the packaging, let me tell you that this particular variant does not contain SPF. The ones that contain SPF are Very Berry SPF 30, Tropical SPF 30 and Moisturizer SPF 15. Now, moving on to the packaging, this lip balm stick comes in a pretty pink cover, with the brand name printed across and picture of the flavour alongside. The stick itself is pink in colour. However, it does not impart any colour and goes sheer on the lips. Overall, the packaging is quite sturdy and the cap does not come off on its own.
Coming to the fragrance, the lip balm smells just like watermelon. But, let me tell you, after using this lip balm, I have realized that watermelons taste great, but don’t smell that great. However, it is not that over powering either, and sensitive noses should not have any issues with the fragrance.
With the very first application, the lip balm felt a bit dry and waxy. However, after three or four uses, this problem was not there and the lip balm felt really smooth and soft on application. In fact, this lip balm feels extremely light on application and can be used as a base for lipsticks that contain SPF. The staying power is quite good and it stays on my lips for about two to three hours. However, my lips continue to remain smooth and soft even after that. This lip balm does not last a heavy meal and reapplication is required. At the same time, a sip of water or a drink is fine and the lip balm remains intact.
Now, let us look at the pros and cons of this product.
Pros of Oralabs Chap Ice Watermelon Lip Balm:
• Pretty and sturdy packaging.
• Good staying power.
• Keeps lips moisturized and soft.
• Feels extremely light on application.
• Acts as a good base for lipsticks containing SPF.
• Cruelty-free brand.
Cons of Oralabs Chap Ice Watermelon Lip Balm:
• Does not contain an SPF.
• Does not have a very good fragrance.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Oralabs Chap Ice Watermelon Lip Balm?
I might now try the variants containing SPF. If you are looking out for something that you can wear indoors on a daily basis, give it a shot. However, you too could try out other variants.
