Orange and Black Eye Makeup

Orange and Black Eye Makeup

This is another request, the request was orange and black eye makeup look, I guess the girls are throwing me unnatural combinations to test me 😀 . But there is nothing I love more than a challenge, so I sat down with my makeup stuff and here is the look that I came up with:

I only used only 3 colors from 2 palettes for this look, here is the detail about them:

ERHA 21 palette
ERHA 21 palette

Erha 21 palette with 24 color eye shadows [Rs 77/-] .It is cheap and great value for money but it is not available easily, it wasn’t available at the same shop that I purchased it from a second time.

The second palette I used was The H&M hello kitty trio I got as a gift from a cousin in Europe, it is in the shade mystic eyes and I think It is not available anymore even in Europe as it was Limited Edition.

I also used some drugstore brushes and my sigma E40 brush for blending.

I also use a drugstore brand [Baolish] glossy liquid liner ,Shahanaz Hussein Kajal, and Maybelline Colossal Volum’ express Mascara.

Now I have stalled enough, let’s get on to the tutorial:

Prime your lids use your favorite primer, base, concealer or foundation all over the lid, if you use one of the latter 2; apply loose powder over it to prevent creasing.

Apply a midtone orange shade all over the lid, more concentrated in the inner ½.

Using a matte black shade, apply all over the outer ½ using a light hand, as too much black will make the look Halloween-isque. Then use the same black and using a fluffy brush, go into the crease and blend the edges out to give that Smokey effect.

I am skipping highlighter as I apply powder underneath the shadows first.

Apply Black liquid liner on top lash line [I am using a glossy one], apply kajal on the lower waterline and Apply Mascara, and You are done!!

I would recommend keeping the rest of the face matte and nude to tone everything down a bit-I recommend matte pink blush and nude lippies.

I hope you all liked this tutorial and that would try it out soon, if you do try it send it in to Rati. If any of you have any requests do let me know as you all know by now how much I love doing requests.

    1. Thanks Insiya!!!!It is cute!! the lightest shade in this trio is my go to highlight shade….I love it! no look of mine is perfect without it!

  1. It’s a gorgeous look, Fathima. So party party. I myself was playing with the similar colour family a few days back. I cant exactly say that I was very happy with the ways colours showed up on me but I have to say that this particular orange looks very interesting. 🙂

Which shade have you applied in the inner corner??

    1. i used the copper shade at bottom corner in the erha 21 palette-the color right next to the browns….,it is out of sight here.I forgot to mention it!!! I used the E40 brush to just lightly dust it …
I wanted to try with stark haloween-isque orange too,but i didnt have one in my collection…..

    1. I think for such a look ,a light shimmery orange and matte black works best…i never use shimmery black for crease or outer corner work….
