Orange Peel-Off Mask: Do It Yourself

Orange Peel-Off Mask: Do It Yourself

Hello IMBBians,

Today, I will sharing a DIY on how to make orange peel-off mask at home. Trust me, it is even better than the commercial ones. I have been using this mask for removing blackheads and it works very efficiently. It works like any another peel-off mask available in the market but is made of all natural ingredients and no preservatives. This mask helps in controlling oil and gives an instant glow to the face.

Things you will need:

  • Edible gelatin.
  • Honey.
  • Dried Orange powder/Orange juice.

That is it. This is all what you need!!

Procedure:

    • Take 1 tablespoon full of gelatin crystals and mix it in tepid water to make them into a gel-like consistency.  Mix it for 5 minutes to dissolve it properly.

    • Now, add 1 tbsp of orange powder and mix it until you get a thick paste-like consistency. You can use fresh orange juice also, but I have used powder to give it a bit of base.

  • Be careful with gelatin as it cools down, it tends to solidify.  Mix all the ingredients well and let it cool for 5 minutes and your mask is ready.

Please note that the bubbles that you see in the pictures are gelatin crystals which may not have dissolved properly.

How To Use:

  • Once the mask has cooled down and it has reached a nice thick consistency, apply it all over your face in very thin layer.  Do not apply more than two layers, otherwise it will take more time to dry.
  • Let it dry for 15-20 minutes maximum and peel it off slowly just like any other peel off mask.
  • Wash the face with lukewarm water and apply some toner.

Quick Tips:

  • Do not let it dry for too long, otherwise it will be very difficult to peel if off. It might pain a lot if it dries for too long.
  • You can use orange or lemon essential oil to make it a bit fragrant, the smell of gelatin may bother you.
