Organic Coconut Oil and Amla Hair Mask for Hair Regrowth

Hello everyone!

Hair fall is a very bothering issue almost every one of us have to face. There can be a lot of causes for hair fall ranging from heredity to lifestyle mistakes. While there can be no escape from this, there are several remedies you can turn to when in need. So, today I have an easy-peasy DIY for you guys that you can use if you are suffering from hair fall. This hair mask will not only control your hair fall but will also promote regrowth of fresh hair if followed consistently. So let’s get started with the DIY.

All you need:

1. Organic Coconut Oil
2. Amla Powder or Indian Gooseberry Powder
3. Microwave-able bowl
4. Microwave or a vessel with boiling water to warm the mask.

Having taken a look at the ingredients, am sure you already know, that this is a super-simple mask with ingredients that are easily available and at minimal expense.

Step 1: I am going to tell you the ratio you need to mix the ingredients in and you can decide the quantity depending the density of your hair. Mix the amla powder and coconut oil in 1:2 ratio in a microwave safe bowl, i.e. one part of amla powder with two parts of coconut oil. I have taken four tablespoons of amla powder with eight tablespoons of coconut oil.

Step 2: Mix the ingredients well, so that there are no lumps in the mixture.

Step 3: Now microwave or heat the mixture for 20 seconds.

Step 4: Apply this mixture over your scalp, at the roots, concentrating over the areas where you observe extra hair fall or loss of volume. Also apply at the tips of the hair. Apply the mask while it is warm for maximum benefits. You will have to be quick enough with the application as this mask tends to dry up gradually as the amla powder soaks up the coconut oil pretty well. You can just roughly go over the length of the hair but you would not need to apply a lot along the length as this mask shall mainly work from the roots to deal with the hair fall and also to promote fresh growth.

Leave this mask on for a good three hours. Let all the goodness soak in and you can wash it off with warm water. You might need about 2-3 reapplications of shampoo during the hair wash, as this gritty mask is one of the greasiest masks ever to get rid of but the efforts are worth it.

Use this mask at least twice a month for impressive results. To tell you about the benefits of the ingredients, amla is known as the super food for hair, it is also called the wonder berry for the amount of good things it can do for your skin and hair. It is known to promote hair growth, reduces hair greying, helps with dandruff and scalp condition and also acts as an amazing hair conditioner. Coconut oil can be used as a natural way to help your hair grow longer, thicker, and faster. The vitamins and essential fatty acids naturally found in coconut oil nourish the scalp and help to remove sebum build-up from hair follicles. It can be used as a great source of deep conditioning, protects hair from sun damage and definitely promotes faster hair growth.

So ladies, pull out those ingredients and get on with mask to get the maximum benefits and to deal with the hair loss. Stick to this mask for a while to see results as consistency it the key to anything.
See you girls in my next post. Take care.
