Organic Surge Eye Gel Review

Organic Surge Eye Gel Review

Hey Gals,

I am back with another review and this time I am reviewing an eye gel from the Organic Surge brand.

Organic Surge Eye Gel Review

I have terrible dark circles! Unfortunately, its heredity 🙁  Even my mom has very dark circles. I have been to quite a few dermatologists and all say that there is no such cure of dark circles, especially if they are heredity 🙁 These dark circles make my eye appear to be sulked in! Hence, I am in constant search of good nude/skin tone color eye liner which can make my eyes pop out 🙂

On my recent visit to a dermatologist with a friend, just by looking at me, the dermatologist said that my skin was so dry! I went in shock for a few seconds! I was like me? my skin is dry? I tend to get zits and pimples and my skin is dry? He was like yes! You have combination skin and only the cheek area is oily and the rest is quite dry. Looking at my sweet, confused face, he explained the logic behind!

What all parts of your body would you say are darkest? No, not hair!  I am talking about skin! If you think your elbows, knuckles, knees, ankles and sometimes the skin on the fingers attached to the nails appear darker. Do you know why, because these areas on our body are dry!!! Extreme dryness causes the skin to go dark!

How many of us face hyperpigmentation issue around our mouth area? I do and when I thought about what the dermatologist said, I felt that my skin around the mouth area is quite dry and I often get dry patches around it! So, you get the hang of it? The area around the mouth where one has darkness may be due to overt dryness! Do check yourself!

Similarly, the dermatologist explained to me that darkness around eyes is caused due to multiple reasons and one of them is having extreme dry skin around the eyes! The entire logic fit together so perfectly! Yes, I do have very dry skin around my eye area which is often subjected to flaking! So, it fits the bill! So, this is how I came to about trying this eye gel. I was looking for a gel-based eye cream because I wanted a cream that could get absorbed easily without leaving any oiliness.

Now, let me make a few things clear, I am not saying that all dark skin on our body or hyperpigmentation is due to dry skin only, but I am stating that may be dry skin can be one of the reasons contributing to it.  Before trying anything around your eyes, please first get it checked by a doctor! Also, apart from keeping the under eye area moisturized, we should also follow the habit of drinking at least 3 litres of water every day! I know you have heard this a lot and I am sure everyone here is aware, but ask yourself, do you really follow this every single day? I try to but can never follow it continuously for more than 2 days! We need to drink plenty of water every single day! Also, try to get your beauty sleep for at least 7 hours a day, again very important!

Okay, now let’s finally get down to the review! Phew!!

I bought Organic Surge Eye Gel from one of the online websites and got it at a discount of 30%. It comes in a tiny bottle which can easily fit in your palm 🙂 Its quite expensive for a 15 ml product! It costs around 825 MRP. The best part is that its all natural and free of all harsh chemicals! Also, it comes out in a clear gel form and gets absorbed easily without any oiliness.  It also moisturizes the eye area quite well. Full ingredients list is mentioned. The packing is quite good and it comes with a small pump. You don’t need more than half a pump to moisturize both the eyes. I apply under the eye as well as on my eyelids. It has never caused me any allergies or problems. Also, with continuous application, it does lighten the dark circles and eyelids to some extent, but not something which is very visible! The quantity is okay, but for the price, I feel they should have given at least 30 ml of the product.

Pros of Organic Surge Eye Gel:

  • It contains green tea extract with aloe vera which are natural moisturizers.
  • Free of parabens and sulphates, and any other harsh chemicals.
  • Organic Surge is against animal testing 🙂
  • Extremely light in texture and gets absorbed easily into the skin without leaving any greasiness.
  • Comes with full ingredient list.
  • It does work on dark circles if applied continuously over a period of time.
  • On application, it causes a light tingling sensation, in a pleasant way and makes our eyes awake!
  • Moisturizing ability is quite good.
  • Packaging is quite nice and sturdy and comes with a pump, so very hygienic.

Cons of Organic Surge Eye Gel:

  • The price, I find it is quite expensive.
  • No major visible difference on puffiness and dark circles.
  • No long term effect!
  • For the price, I feel quantity is very less, 15 ml 🙁

Price:

Rs. 825/- for 15 ml.

IMBB Rating:

3.8 out of 5

Do I Recommend Organic Surge Eye Gel?

Yes, I would definitely recommend if its available on discount or if you are looking for a non-greasy moisturizing eye gel! Overall, its a pretty decent eye gel, nothing extraordinary and not too bad either 🙂

  1. apply almond oil…one of the best remedy for dark circles… i have tried so many creams but none of them are worth it. make it as a daily routine to apply almond oil…u will notice a visible difference in reduction of dark circles and lines…

  2. Parita, that’s a good gel and thanks for the info on dryness causing darkness on skin, I never thought about it that way, thanks for telling, I will take care

  3. wow parita thnks 4 this information! I too have combination skin n was geting dark circles coz of drynes in under eye skin!
Now i try 2 drink atleast 1.5 lt water n my dark circles r improving! I also use aroma magic under eye gel reviewed on IMBB! It is very soothing n dirt cheap!

    1. great shilpi..i too have aroma magic almond cream but found it a bit too greasy for day time application but yes it definitely helps!

      1. yup AM under eye almond creame is bit heavy so i gave it 2 my mother who has extremely dry skin now i m using its under eye gel! Great reviews anyways!

  4. I really loved reading this one Parita, thnx for sharing 🙂 This gel seems to be a decent one but if it has no effect on puffiness or dark circles i don’t think it’s worth buying na ?

    1. Hi Sukanya..thanks dear..m glad you liked it! Honestly on the MRP price I would not suggest it though it goes long way! I am using it since more than 4 months now and still have about 1/3 left! yes i do use it everyday morning! It does not have long term effect but temporary effect is there and also most of the eye creams tend to take long time before they actually show results 🙁 especially for me as i really have bad dark circles! If you find another gel based eye cream u can def give this a miss 🙂

  5. oh, god, reading the first part of your article, I was nodding my head and saying yes, that’s me! Problem with under eye creams is that they just aren’t penetrating skin the lighten it, I think it is safe to say they just hydrate unless they have a crazy amount of chemicals in them.

    1. So true n trust me only using heavy cream does not work! Our body needs everything in balance for it to function well and same is with out skin to appear healthy! Drinking of loads of water is very very essential with enough sound sleep!

  6. Thanks for the info on hydration.. Himalaya under-eye cream works for me but I dont have much dark circles.. 🙂

  7. That was such a lovely review Parita.I bet it’s been an eye opener for atleast 90% girls here at IMBB.Take my case,my doc advised me to drink at least 16 glasses of water a day but I never follow it religiously. Not until my husband recently said that my skin is looking dry-i also have combination oily skin and it goes out of control and oilier in summer-i was pretty shocked and so drinking lots of water and eating fresh fruits and veggies these days 🙂
I’ve used moisturizers from Organic surge and found them pretty good, the prices are a bit steep though.Might take a look at this eye gel-i dont have bad under eye circles – currently testing a sample from Lancome and if it doesn’t live up to its claim I’ll check this out….

    1. Thanks Sophia..m glad it was helpful! yeah i always keep a bottle of water around me whether at home or office! also the key to drinking water is to drink little little and not float our stomach with it 🙂

  8. yar pari
just wat i wanted.. thnks a lot 🙂

to look at the last three pics i had to put on glares 😛
    hhhaiaiihhi just kidding pari

  9. Loved reading the post parita. I toh have dry skin all over and I keep moisturizing my skin but still my knees tend to go dark every now and then, didnt know that was coz of the dryness. I guess i will take care of myself more. It was quite a useful post. Thanks for sharing 🙂

  10. Thanks for the review Paritha. i have seen this product online many a time and i have been tempted too but never quite bought it. wont be tempted anymore..whew!!!

i am so bad with drinking water..thanks for the reminder..for me less stress = less dark circles 🙂 until then i shall rely on concealers. 🙂

  11. great post parita , as soon as i read your article i immediately got up and examined myself 🙂 luckily no such problem 🙂 i myself keep the water bottle with me wherever i go and even at home i fill my sipper with rasna or roohafza and keep sipping it time to time while watching my fav t.v show :p
so that keeps my skin healthy and glowing 😉

and one more thing i tried that cantharidine oil you reviewed but its quite hard to take off while shampooing i mean i end up using a lot of shampoo , is there a solution to it ?? help me out ;o

    1. thanks anshu! recently I tried Just Herbs shampoo and m so loving it! it takes off oil in one shot! try using any herbal shampoo and you should not have a problem..infact my oil comes off even with sunsilk but I always shampoo twice when I have oiled my hair!

      1. just herbs ?? which variant ?? hearing this name for the very first time 😛
and ohhhhh yeah i completely love the fragrance of that oil , reminds me of the oil that mehndiwala here in delhi put on our palms before applying mehndi :p

  12. Thank you that was really helpful 🙂 I usually just use a different colored concealer & I’m too scared to dedicate money to a proper eye gel so thank you very much for your advice! 🙂

  13. Awesome post Parita.. It was very informative.. 🙂 thanks for this.. Even I suffer from
Dark circles 🙁 trying to follow the golden rule of drinking lot of water.. 🙂
