Organic Surge Moisture Boost Shampoo Review

Organic Surge Moisture Boost Shampoo

Hello Pretty Women!

I have been suffering from acute hair loss for quite some time. Tufts of hair that the cleaning lady swept every morning were attaining volumes comparable to that on my head and I realized that time was ripe for drastic action. This was the first time I procured an SLS free shampoo, transcending my budgetary constraints. I have received encouraging reviews of Organic Surge shampoos from all quarters and I got, without further ado, the only one available with the store I visited at that moment. Read on to find if the investment paid off.

My Experience with Organic Surge Moisture Boost Shampoo:

The shampoo comes in a tube with a flip-open cap. The packaging turned out to be utterly disappointing with the contents oozing from the cap even as I held the tube for noting its ingredients. I would suggest transferring the shampoo to another bottle unless you are careful enough to store it with its cap facing the ceiling after each use.Its fragrance is akin to the sweet colorful cough syrups we were administered as kids. The smell, however, does not linger beyond shower.

As you would have gauged, its texture is extremely runny and light with its transparent contents swiftly flowing out of the tube no sooner than you flip it open, pouring, most often, a larger quantity than required. Another reason for transferring the contents to a bottle.

The shampoo does not lather as efficiently as its viscous counterparts and you could have the urge to use the product in amounts more than required,, which is precisely what I did for the first few times. With a couple of uses I realized that it washes away oil without lathering much. It does not irritate scalp in the least, leaving it noticeably clean following each wash. In stark contrast to chemical-based products, it does not impart instant luster to the hair. One may attribute this anomaly to lower intensity of purely nature-derived ingredients and view it as lesser damage caused to hair. Same goes with frizz. I do not walk out of the shower with hair rendered as smooth as by the likes of Dove or Sun Silk. I cannot imagine using it sans conditioner.

Having used it numerous times, I see hair loss receding gradually. There is nothing magical about the rate. Like the pace of evolution in which single celled amoeba evolved into complex human beings in millions of years, (well not that slow 😛 say, a few weeks) slowly, but surely, this formula addresses hair-fall. I believe it has been even slower for me because I suffer from hyperthyroidism that is known to induce severe hair fall. Its efficiency might improve when I am through with my medication. So women with normal thyroid functioning might observe better results.

Pros of Organic Surge Moisture Boost Shampoo:

 Cleans the scalp well.
 Addresses hair loss albeit at a gradual pace.
 Agreeable fragrance.
 SLS free.
 Parabens free.
 Nature-derived ingredients.

Cons of Organic Surge Moisture Boost Shampoo:

 Flimsy packaging.

Yes. It might not give me instant results, but this shampoo has, to some extent, reduced my alarming hair loss.

    1. Hair fall is my worst nightmare Neha. This is the first product that worked for me in that quarters. I wish it were better at smoothing and imparting shine as well. But for now I am thankful my hair-fall has reduced *haan ji*

    1. If you decide to try this Jomol, please do keep in mind that it will not address the problem of frizzy hair, or impart smoothness and shine to the hair. *haan ji*

    1. I dont think oily this shampoo would help oily scalp in he least Aditi. Maybe there’s another variant for oily scalps? I’m not really sure.

  1. I always wanted to try something from this range *drool* *drool* they look sooo tempting *happy dance* *happy dance* i wanna try the volume one *happy dance* *thankyou* *thankyou* for influencing more lol *hihi* *hihi*

    1. I had heard lots of good things about this brand Saloni, but frankly I am a bit disappointed. The only reason I gave it a 3 star is that it reduced my hair-fall. Not sure about the volume one, though. Hope it works well for you 🙂

  2. I have just finished a bottle of this one. *pigtail* ..cannot say it was gud..it was a very average shampoo and no reduction in hair-fall too… *headbang* *headbang*

    1. I would agree with you Anuradha, it is indeed an average product, but it did help me with my hair-fall. I suppose that differs from person to person, then. 🙂

  3. I use the volume one, and I didn’t really like it. Every time I use it,my hair becomes a tangled mess.
But I think hair fall does reduce, and that is the one reason I could bear this. Then I switched back to Dove 😛 (my hair fall isn’t THAT bad)

    1. THis one is also not without its faults Triya. My hair gets insanely frizzy, but I put up with it for the sole reason that it helps with my hair-fall. *haan ji*
